2.0 EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
A business plan is a written document that describes in great depth the goals and
objectives of a company. A business plan outlines a documented strategy for the
company's operations, finances, and marketing. Business plans are used by both new
and established businesses. A business plan can also help a company's executive team
stay on the same page with regard to key action items and on track to achieve set
objectives.
This paper will discuss the business design of Wòssetò Xpress Laundry from
several important aspects such as the background of the company, industrial analysis,
market analysis, marketing plan and others. maintain our business to keep it running
well and healthy.
3.0 INTRODUCTION
Self-service laundry is a growing business today. This business operates
basically 24 hours and with the coin operated machines, people can wash their clothes
anytime and can finish clean dry clothes instantly. For about 50 minutes, customers can
clean 10 kg, 14 kg, 28 kg clothes. In a city where most people are busy working, they
don't have enough time to do laundry. With this service, people need less time to wash
clothes every day or even every week. Thus, they can have more time to rest or do
other activities. Our group chooses the company Wosseto Xpress Laundry UUM is a
24-Hour Self Service Laundry Located at Varsity Mall, University Utara Malaysia Open
to the Public 11 units of Washing Machines with 10 units of Dryers Parking Available
Wosseto Xpress Laundry UUM is a 24-Hour Self Service Laundry Located at Varsity
Mall, University Utara Malaysia Open to Public 11 Units Washing Machines with 10
Units of Dryers Parking Available. The reason we chose Wosetto Express, because
most of us do not have any transportation to get out of this campus which is Universiti
Utara Malaysia.

Since this company was around here, so we decided to contact them for interview. This
assignment is very challenging because we have to choose a company that provides
services to others and is difficult to find. But luckily, we managed to do it. We
interviewed Ms. Zuraida Hashim. Group members are very helpful in completing this
task for the benefit of group assignments. Not to mention also our beloved lecturer that
guide us in completing this business plan.
3.1 Objectives
Wosseto Express Laundry company goal to offer our customer a valuable long
term laundry service, but also a place where can relax, have a nice drink and meet
people, company wants to know a day’s people become more conscious about their
dressing and the want their self-more prominent due to their clean and shining cloths
and Wosseto Express Laundry dedicate to complete client satisfaction and the other
goals is be able to expand the service in the region of company choice.

Based on information from the speaker, The owner of this business is Mrs.
Zuraida Hashim. Wòssetò Express Laundry V-Mall UUM has been established for 6
years since 2016. Wòssetò Xpress Laundry based on information from the speaker,
Wòssetò Express Laundry VMall UUM has been established for 6 years since 2016.
The difference between Wòssetò Xpress Laundry and other laundry businesses is that it
has more cleaning machine capacity and has more dryer machines than other laundry
businesses which consist of 11 washing machine unit and 10 drying machine units,
don't forget Wòssetò Express Laundry has provided quality coir so that customers don't
need to bring extra soap from outside. According to the speaker, the reason why
Wòssetò Express Laundry opens a large enough laundry is because UUM has a large
number of students, around 30,000 students on campus, so that the first target market
for this business is UUM students themselves.
To provide the best service from Wòssetò Express Laundry, Wòssetò Express
Laundry always serves customers 24 hours when there is a problem with the machine,
for example, when there is a problem with the machine that cannot be used, we can
report the problem by telephone, so that the Wòssetò Express party Laundry will visit
and fix the problematic machine.
Wssetò Express Laundry's operating time is 24 hours per day, so even if you are
on a long holiday or semester break on campus, UUM students can still use the laundry,
but during a pandemic because there are very few students on campus, Wòssetò
Express Laundry was closed. The vision and mission of the Wòssetò Express Laundry
business is that Wossetò Express Laundry wants to open a franchise.

5.1 Industry Size, Growth Rate, and Sales Projection
Wòssetò Xpress Laundry V-Mall UUM has 1000 m square feet area for
their business in Universiti Utara Malaysia. They need to get a big space
because there are so many machines that they use to run their business. The
laundry industry is quite big at the moment especially in Universiti Utara
Malaysia. As we know, the learning system has changed into a hybrid system
which makes many of the students some to Universiti Utara Malaysia. There are
also some students that took an online subject but they come to Universiti Utara
Malaysia due to internet connection problem in their home. With all those
students as Wòssetò Xpress Laundry V-Mall UUM, it makes this business
industry has a quite big size right now. There is also a case where the local
people also come to Universiti Utara Malaysia to use the service from Wòssetò
Xpress Laundry V-Mall UUM.
Meanwhile, for the growth rate itself this business has decreased until
below 50% because of pandemic. All of this problem almost happens in all
business over the world. But after the 2 years since the pandemic, growth rate
has been better with more than 50%. It also depends on the existing customer
such as students. If there is a long holiday, then it will affect the business
because many students have come back to their home.
For the sales projection itself, there is no specific image about that.
Because it depends on many things like UUM rules. If there are no students in
campus then it will affect Wòssetò Xpress Laundry V-Mall UUM sales. But
Wòssetò Xpress Laundry V-Mall UUM always want to cover the loss that they
suffer from pandemic and increased their profit.

The characteristic of the self-laundry industry is this business depends on
many equipment and its services. They need to provide washer machine and
dryer machine. In this industry there is also a characteristic that the customer
should now this is a self-laundry industry. This laundry also needs to adapt with
the times like what is the customer really need.
5.3 Industry Trend
In laundry industry, there is a specific trend that happens at the current
time. That trend is everything is so fast and mobile nowadays. Based on that
trend, the time is very valuable for the people. And the connection in the laundry
industry is they want to make a modern laundry (self-laundry industry) and not
the traditional laundry to give the customer an effective and efficient services.
5.4 Long-Term Prospect
There are some long terms prospect that Wòssetò Xpress Laundry V-Mall
UUM want to achieve. The first one is they want to stabilize their business in
Universiti Utara Malaysia. As mentioned before, because of the pandemic the
Wòssetò Xpress Laundry V-Mall UUM has been affected in their business.
Because of that they want to stabilize their business first as their long-term
prospect. The second long term prospect that Wòssetò Xpress Laundry V-Mall
UUM want to achieve is they want to expand their business. As mentioned
before, the trend in laundry industry is there are many customers that want to
have a self-laundry service because in nowadays everything is so fast and
mobile. This is an opportunity for the Wòssetò Xpress Laundry V-Mall UUM to
expand their business so they could get many profits in the near future.

6.0 MARKET ANALYSIS
An in-depth evaluation of the market in a particular industry is what is
known as market analysis. You will research the characteristics of your market
using this analysis, including volume and value, possible client categories, buying
trends, competition, and other important elements. and in this discussion, I will
discuss from 4 points, namely:
6.1 Market Segmentation and Target Market Selection
Wòssetò Xpress Laundry V-Mall UUM builds its market segmentation by
attracting UUM students to be interested in going to the laundry and washing
their clothes there with more adequate equipment than they have to wash and
dry their clothes manually. Because Puan Zuraida Hashim is the manager and
co-owner of Wòssetò Xpress Laundry. She felt restless to see students washing
and drying clothes in the dormitory. She saw a lot of monkeys roaming near their
clothesline and re-dirtying their clothes which they had washed clean. Therefore,
Wòssetò Xpress Laundry provides and invites UUM students to invest a little to
go to the laundry, about 10 RM a week or 40 RM a month for them to be able to
wash and dry clothes hygienically and quickly. And they can use neat and clean
clothes for students to carry out activities at the university. And that's why Puan
Zuraida Hashim said that their biggest target market is UUM students. If you
make a scale of 1-10%, the percentage of Wòssetò Xpress Laundry customers
who come from students is 80% of students. and the rest are lecturers, staff,
workers around UUM and also people who live around UUM.

6.2 Customer Behaviour
Wòssetò Xpress Laundry through Puan Zuraida Hashim explained about
the buyer behavior of their laundry, most of which are young people or students
whose habit is that they want what they pay to be worth what they get. Therefore,
Wòssetò Xpress Laundry responds by giving the best to their customers by
choosing the best washing machine and dryer. they don't just buy a washing
machine for their laundry; they do a lot of trial and error to get a machine that fits
the specifications they want. as well as the detergents and fragrances they use,
they look to various detergent distributors to find the best one at a price that still
fits the student's budget. In addition, they also carry out various treatments to
maintain the quality of their laundry by doing regular cleaning of the filters in their
washing machines and their dryers to ensure that the clothes these students
wash in their laundry will dry and smell perfectly. And Puan Zuraida Hashim also
conveyed that the customer behavior of Laundry is that students want to be fast
in the process of washing their clothes because of the high mobility of students.
So that the above reasons are expected from Wòssetò Xpress Laundry to fulfill
their customer behavior, especially UUM students.
6.3 Competitor Analysis
Before the Wòssetò Xpress Laundry V-Mall UUM was opened, Puan
Zuraida Hashim realized that there was indeed a laundry in every inasis, but she
tried to make this laundry different. She made the Wòssetò Xpress Laundry more
commercial and like a self-laundry outside the university, with good machine
specifications. Because Puan Zuraida Hashim tries to think differently from the
minds of other people who think that laundry for students is enough to be given
an ordinary machine like the one used at home (non-commercial use). but she
considers this student is her customer who must be treated optimally. From there

she made Wòssetò Xpress Laundry with a spacious and comfortable place, lots
of washing machines and dryers of course with various machine sizes and she
also really maintains quality and after sales service, such as if the customer is
not satisfied with the laundry service, Puan Zuraida Hashim is happy listen to
customer complaints and find solutions. If she is indeed required to be refunded
then she will do that and apologize, and that according to her is what makes her
Laundry different from other places. And she also never considers competitors as
negative things for her and for Puan Zuraida sustenance has already been
arranged so she will only focus on providing maximum service to Wòssetò
Xpress Laundry customers.
6.4 Estimate of Annual Sales and Market Share
For the annual sales of Wòssetò Xpress Laundry, based on Puan
Zuraida's information, it is very much, especially if there is no Covid-19 pandemic
because the movement of students at UUM is relatively stable so that laundry
income is stable. That's because 80% of Wòssetò Xpress Laundry's customers
are students. And for the current market share, can it meet the Laundry monthly
target? Ms. Zuraida's answer is that if all students have come back to university
after the pandemic, Laundry's income will meet the monthly target again. but if it
was before the pandemic then the monthly target could not be met, because this
laundry really depends on the students who are the majority of their customers.
Puan Zuraida also said "if we got students then we got sales" which stated that
students were their market.

7.0 MARKETING PLAN
7.1 Overall Marketing Strategy
Consider where your target buyers spend the most time to wash the
clothes ecspesially for student, this might look like a weekly need for student to
wash the clothes and the student must be need something efficient and reduce
time, it is very diligent idea to make the laundry at university because it will have
a lot of customers. This company increases service awareness by using
regulations to keep the laundry area clean and using WIFI so that waiting for
laundry is more comfortable and customers can use the internet for free. The
Wosseto Express Laundry company is not interested in expanding into new
segments because according to them the laundry business is enough for this
company and this company has the goal of expanding this laundry branch to all
parts of Malaysia. The Wosseto Express Laundry company has marketing goals,
namely by increasing brand awareness, ranking higher in search results because
achieving these marketing goals will increase sales and make the company grow
fast. The Wosetto Express Laundry Company recognizes customers by reading
and analyzing the situation before making a place of business that will be
determined by conducting a direct survey and the Wosseto Express company,
more precisely at UUM, can identify customers by knowing the daily activities
carried out by students at UUM and washing clothes is important for students.
The Wosseto Express Laundry company located at UUM has other competitors
such as Laundry located in every dormitory and there are other laundry
companies both within UUM and outside UUM that offer more service and have
low prices. By improving the quality and service provided to customers, the
Wosseto Laundry Express company can compete with competitors, now the
Wosseto Laundry Express company has also improved the quality of soap and
softener provided for free, with that Wosseto company can compete easily with
other competitors.

7.2 Pricing Strategy
The Wosetto Laundry Express company is a company that sells services,
namely washing clothes automatically and efficiently. To wash clothes, the
Wosetto Laundry Express company provides a tariff of RM 6 for a standard size
washing machine that can accommodate 5 kg and for a large washing machine
that can accommodate 10 kg this company provides a tariff of RM 8 for a dryer.
This company provides a tariff of RM 4 for a machine. standard dryer and if you

want to add 6 minutes you can add RM 1 that also applies to the washing
machine. This company places its business in strategic places such as
universities or places that really need a washing machine. For promotion, this
company initially used banners and banners, but over time this business grew by
word of mouth and many people were very familiar with the Wosetto company
itself and now this company uses online advertising to get more customer
attention.

This company has advertising, namely banners and banners that are

this company uses self-service to use its services and this method is very
effective for this company because customers are also very happy with the
indirect service method. The Wosetto Laundry Express company handles the
service by using remote observations such as CCTV and this company will

8.3 Worker Incentive
8.3.1 Employee Provident Fund (EPF)
Wosetto Express had provision of 11% from the worker’s salary for
their EPF, which is the purpose for the importance of the workers when
they retired.
8.3.2 Contribution to the Social Security Organization (SOCSO)
SOCSO is a form of insurance to protect the employees in term of
monetary compensation in case of unforeseen incidents at the work place.
The Wosetto Express had provide 1% of SOCSO, which it will protect
employee from injuries or incidents during workforce.

It is also can be defined as the process of specifying business input to convert them into
output in the form of product or services. Besides that, operation helps us to achieve our
objectives. Operation plan is one of the most important elements in the business.
Operation strategy will make our business more effective and efficient to achieve good
