I. COURSE This course deals with the study of concepts of the time value of
DESCRIPTION: money and equivalence; basic economic study methods;
decisions under certainty; decisions recognizing risk; and
decisions admitting uncertainty.

II. PROGRAM By the time of graduation, the students of the program shall have
OUTCOMES: the ability to:

PO 1. Apply knowledge of mathematics and science to solve


complex mechanical engineering problems.
PO 2. Design and conducts experiment as well as to analyze
and interpret data.
PO 3. Design a system component, or process to meet
desired needs within realistic constraints, in
accordance with standards.
PO 4. Function in multidisciplinary and multi-cultural teams.
PO 5. Identify, formulate and solve complex mechanical
engineering problems.
PO 6. Understand professional and ethical responsibility.
PO 7. Communicate effectively.
PO 8 Understand the impact of mechanical engineering
solutions in a global, economic, environmental, and
societal context.
PO 9. Recognize the need for and engage in life-long
learning.
PO 10. Know contemporary issues.
PO 11. Use techniques, skills, and modern engineering tools
necessary for mechanical engineering practice.
PO 12. Know and understand engineering and management
principles as a member and leader of a team, and to

economic principles and methods and select the most
