PROGRAM PROPOSAL for RETREAT
Grade 12
SY 2022 - 2023
Rationale
Every student is not just in need of academic growth but more so of spiritual growth. This is
the reason why schools, especially Catholic Schools, offer recollections and retreats to students, to
give importance to their spiritual growth as individuals. As the institution aims for the holistic
growth of the students even during the pandemic, La Consolacion College Tanauan will be having
its recollections and retreats for the students from the Lower School to College Department as part
of their spiritual formation.
As Saint John Chrysostom said, “Prayer is the place of refuge for every worry, a foundation
for cheerfulness, a source of constant happiness, a protection against sadness.” So, this would be a
good opportunity, not for the student’s personal encounter with the Lord in silence, meditation,
reflection, and prayer. As the pandemic still continues, the said activities will be done inside the LCC
Tanauan Campus premises per section together with their adviser and the facilitator.
Objectives
The program aims to:
1. Deepen students’ spirituality amidst the pandemic crisis and spend some moments of
silence and reflection about their lives as students and as part of society;
2. Give opportunity to students to take a break from their regular schoolwork and focus on
their relationship with the Lord thus recharging them physically and spiritually;
3. Encourage students to be positive in their lives and positively affect others in their little
ways; and,
4. Offer prayers for oneself and for the rest of the world facing different struggles in life.
Composition
The activity is organized to be implemented by a team who will facilitate its management
and administration. The team serves as the facilitators for the development and implementation of
the program
