**During Taxi give T/O Briefing**

T/O Briefing:
This will be FULL power T/O from the runway with flaps to T/O config. All engine
parameters will be monitored by me. My callout speed will be 40 kts, 50 kts and
rotation speed will be 60 kts.
In case of engine failure before 60 kts: I shall call ‘STOP’ and throttle to idle and stop
the a/c on the runway
In case of an engine failure after 60 kts,
a. Runway length available: I shall bring throttle to idle and land the a/c on
runway
b. Runway length NOT available: I will put my nose down, maintain 74 kts and
look for field between 10-2 o’ clock position. Make shallow turns to avoid
obstacle and go for an emergency landing.
You being the PIC will have the actual controls of the a/c during actual emergency and
I shall assist you in every way possible. ANY QUESTIONS SIR/MA’AM?

Finding the wider gap between the piano keys. R/w numbers are in sight. Gently pushing throttle to
idle once aligned with the centre line. Maintaining air control slowly stopping the aircraft.

Gently opening throttle to full. Slight touch of right rudder. Maintaining centre line between my feet.
ASI alive at 40 kt, 50 kt, 60 kt, and rotate at 65 kt.
Up and away from the runway, safely airborne. Maintaining a shallow climb attitude. Far end of
R/W disappearing. Increasing attitude. Maintaining the climb speed. Trim the A/c.

STEEP TURN BRIEFING:


This will be a steep turn on left/right with bank angle of 45°. Rolling in passing 30°, I will increase
my MAP and back pressure by 2 inches. Rolling out passing 30°, I decrease my MAP and back
pressure by 2 inches.
I will carry out SELF and PPRR checks:
S- Seatbelts : Fastened
E- Engine parameters : In green
L- Loose Items : Secured
F- Fuel Pump : On

P- Point of orientation (ground)


P- Point of reference (On air)
R- Reference altitude
R- Reference hdg

STALL IN CLEAN CONFIGURATION:


This will be stall in clean configuration with flaps up. My stall commencing speed will be 100 kt or
more.
I will recover from stall whenever there is
I. Aerodynamic Buffet
II. Stall warning
III. Speed passing 53 kt
My recovery actions will be:
I. Nose slightly below horizon
II. Throttle- Full
III. Right Rudder anticipate
Before carrying out stall I will carry out:
H- Height above 2300’
A- Area clear of population, large water bodies, clouds, birds
C- SELF (cockpit checks)
L- Limit boundary (well within sector)

Now, Hdg bug- Set


Fuel pump- Off
Throttle- Full
Pump- Fully forward
Maintain reference altitude, and after stall start climb.
*After Stall:
PPRR + Engine parameters check + Fuel pump - Off + DME (well within sector)

STALL IN LANDING CONFIGURATION:


This will be a stall in ldg. Config. With flap to land. My stall commencing speed will be below
100kts and stall speed 52kts.
I will recover from stall whenever there is:
1. Aerodynamic Buffet
2. Stall waring
3. Speed passing 52kts
Whichever comes first
My recovery actions will be:-
1. Nose just abv. Horizon
2. Throttle fully forward
3. Right rudder Anticipate

Maintaining 3000’ speed passing 80 kt, simulating finals, nose down to -6° and speed 76kts
Approaching 2860’- Throttle idle (fly parallel)
On stall warning recovery action - Speed 65kts; flaps to T/O

*After Stall:
PPRR + Engine parameters check + Fuel pump - Off + DME (well within sector)
