Section 1: Understand innovation in your organisation

1 Describe the organisation you are basing this project on.

1.1 What is the name of the organisation?
The name of the organization under study is “King Edward VII College”

1.2 What are the main activities of the organisation?

The organization is an educational institution. It provides selection of different courses from
marketing to human resource up to graduate diploma.

1.3 What is your role in the organisation?

My role is of an operations manager and I deal with the management, assessment and
training. of workers to ensure smooth operations.

1.4 How does your role fit into the organisational structure?
My role is to provide training and assessment of the workers. My role in the organization is
to ensure smooth operations and report to Chief Executive Officer.

1.5 Identify at least two stakeholders who will be associated with or impacted by
innovation in your organisation.
The two major stakeholders involved with the innovative thinking and practices will be
1) Human Resource Manager
2) Academic Manager

1.6 How are your identified stakeholders associated with or impacted by innovation?
Innovation is essential to every organization's success. Human resource managers and
academic managers serve a crucial responsibility in developing and fostering innovation
throughout their respective organizations.
Managers of human resources must be capable of recognizing the abilities required for
employee performance and afterwards enhance those talents. In addition, they must be
capable of recognizing when staff are underperforming and act accordingly. For instance, a
manager of human resources may determine that in order for workers to be more
innovative, they must be better at problem-solving. Then, they would collaborate with
workers to improve problem-solving abilities. In addition, the manager of human resources
would be on the watch for workers whose performance falls below the organization's
requirements and would implement corrective measures.
Additionally, academic managers have a crucial role in encouraging and facilitating
innovation inside their businesses. They must be able to recognize the knowledge and
abilities that workers need to be successful and then improve those talents. In addition, they

must be able to recognize individuals who are underperforming and take remedial action. In
order for workers to be more inventive, a management in the academic field may determine
that they need to improve their critical thinking. They would then collaborate with workers
to develop these critical thinking abilities. In addition, the academic manager would be on
the watch for individuals whose performance does not meet the organization's requirements
and would implement remedial measures.
Human resource managers and academic managers have crucial roles in encouraging and
sustaining innovation within their respective enterprises. Without the capacity to identify
the skills and knowledge that people need for success and then create methods to improve
them, businesses would be incapable of innovation. Moreover, both human resource
managers and academic managers must be on the watch for individuals whose performance
does not meet the organization's expectations and take remedial action.
