Statement of Purpose

I, Ndidi Ben Obisie, earnestly seek to pursue educational opportunity in Canada to acquire relevant
skills to become useful to myself and the society that is increasingly shaped by global trends.
Education is losing function in my country where tertiary institutions are still saddled with theoritical
learning devoid of skill applications, thus making school leavers mostly job seekers without
employable skills. I therefore, strongly desire educational development in Canada where academics
is modern and globally competitive.

I believe that studying in Canada will provide me with an excellent academic and personal growth
opportunity, as well as enhance my future career prospects.

My choice of Canada as my preferred destination for higher education is due to its reputation for
providing high-quality education and research opportunities. Canadian universities are known for
their world-class faculties, state-of-the-art infrastructure, and diverse range of courses and
programs. By studying in Canada, I hope to have the chance to learn from leading global experts in
my field of interest, thereby gaining practical skills through hands-on experiences, and to acquire a
globally recognized degree.

Furthermore, Canada's multicultural society and warmth make it an ideal place for international
students like me. I am excited about the prospect of immersing myself in a diverse cultural
environment, interacting with students from different backgrounds, and expanding my global
perspective. This exposure will not only enrich my personal growth but also foster a deep
understanding and appreciation for cultural diversity, which is crucial in today's interconnected
world.

In addition to academic excellence, Canada offers numerous opportunities for research and
innovation. As a student, I aspire to contribute to the scientific community by conducting research

Moreover, studying in Canada will provide me with valuable exposure to the Canadian job market.

through internship programs, and part-time jobs. This experience will not only enhance my

Nevertheless, I am confident that studying in Canada will not only fulfill my academic aspirations but
also help me grow as an individual. The country's emphasis on personal development, critical
thinking, and creativity aligns with my own values and goals. I believe that the rigorous academic
environment, combined with the support and guidance from faculty and staff, will challenge me to
reach my full potential and become a well-rounded individual, especially with the availability of
facilities for recreation and socialization, the indoor sports of swimming and scrabbling being my
favourite pastime.

In conclusion, I am deeply committed to pursuing my higher education in Canada and believe that it
will provide me with the necessary skills, knowledge, and experiences to achieve my academic and
career goals. I am eager to contribute to the Canadian academic community, immerse myself in its
vibrant culture, and make a positive impact both during my studies and thereafter. I kindly request
