What is Problem Solving?
Problem solving is the process of identifying an existing problem, determining the root cause or
causes of the problem, deciding the best course of action in order to solve the problem, and then
finally implementing it to solve the problem.
Meaning of Problem Solving:
Problem solving is the act of defining a problem;
determining the cause of the problem; identifying, prioritizing
, and selecting alternatives for a solution;
and implementing a solution.
Concept of Problem Solving Method:
A problem is generally considered to be a task, a situation, or person which is difficult to deal
with or control due to complexity and intransparency. In everyday language, a problem is a
question proposed for solution, a matter stated for examination or proof.
Example of Problem Solving:
A good example of problem-solving is when an individual gets a flat tire on their car in the
morning and decides to fix it. They take the old tire off, put a new one on, and then they go about
their day as normal.
