Slag Cement, 43 Grade & 53 Grade Ordinary Portland Cement.
JK. White. Cement is a part of J.K.Cement Ltd. (an affiliate of the industrial conglomerate

of White Cement as per IS: 8042-1989 or equivalent standard of any country such as BS 12

Therefore, conditional approval has been accorded for above mentioned vendor and If the material

You are requested to submit the MTC (Material Testing Certificate ) and third party testing from each
lot/Batch received at site and testing of the product shall be done as per approved Inspection Test Plan.

Any use of this vendor's product shall be permitted only after conducting successful concrete/shotcrete
mix design,testing of the above mentioned product, its compliance with approved Method Statements,

e) In exposed concrete elements, the cement used in the concrete for entire element
shall preferably be from a single manufacturer to ensure uniform colour.
f) Subsequent to obtaining the Engineer's approval, the Contractor shall not change
the agreed arrangements without the prior approval from the Engineer. Each
delivery of cement shall be accompanied by a certificate which shall be submitted
to the Engineer immediately after the delivery showing the place of manufacture
and the results of standard tests carried out by the manufacturer.

Testing for Cement

a) Samples shall be tested from every batch of cement delivered on Site or once for
every 1000 bags or part thereof, whichever is more frequent. Samples shall be
taken immediately on receipt of cement at site. The methods and procedures for
sampling shall be in accordance with IS 3535.
b) Tests shall be carried out for fineness, initial and final setting time and
compressive strength (IS 4031) and results shall obtain approval of the Engineer
prior to usage of the materials.
c) The Engineer may require any other form of sampling and tests including
chemical analysis (IS 4032) in case the cement supplied is of doubtful quality.
The cost of such additional tests shall be borne by the Contractor.

Aggregates

General

a) Aggregate shall conform to the provisions specified in IS 383.

b) Prior to commencing any concrete work, the Contractor shall obtain the Engineer's
approval of the proposed types and sources of aggregate. Sampling of aggregates
shall be as per IS 2430.

Contractor MIS VIL visled the J K Cement factory at Muddapur, Bagalkot district, Kamataka on
25/02/2015 as per your verbal request.

Following are our Obse~atiOnSlCOmmentS:

Plant capacity of 3.00MillionTons Per Annum was commissioned in 2009.

Factory is producing OPC 43.PPC & PSC Cement.
Plant was in operation with production of 6000 Metric Tons Iday.
Quality Control procedures were maintained in the factory laboratory with Robot
Sampler.
Daily physical tests and Compressive strength for 03,07 & 28 days records were
maintained.
Manufacturers Test Certificate is issued on weekly basis.

In light of above, we recommend J.K Cement for use on the project.

Site delivered material has to be tested in Site and Independent laboratow for each lot.
