LESSON PLANS – PET

MONDAY
1. Check homework:
2. Practice reading:
-Each student reads out loud the short paragraph, teacher correct pronouce,
intonation.
3. Listening:
-Ask students identify the keywords and check understading of the question
words.
-Play recording and give studenst time to compare their answers.
-Play the second time and check anwers with class.
4. Play game: Review: Present simple/ present continuous/ past simple/
preposition/ since/ for
-Divide class into 2 teams. Each team takes turn to answer their question. If they
get correct answer, throwing a dice and get points.
-If ot, another team gets the chance to answer again and get point.

WEDNESDAY
1. Review vocabs:
-Take test: progress test unit 1 and 2
-Check answer and explain.
2. Listening:
-a) Briefly revise clothes vocabulary from page 14.
-Students describe the clothes The Beatles are wearing in the picture.
b) Explain that they are going to listen to the conversation between Sarah, a
teenager and her grandma.
-Read 3 options and listen and then choose the correct answer.
c) –Play the recording for students to choose the correct answers.
Stop after each item to check answer.
d) Give students some minutes to read the sentences.
-Play the second part of the conversation again for them to complete the
sentences with the words in the box.
-Check answer.
3. Practice: prepare for speaking: traditional clothes.
FRIDAY
1. Play game:
-Review vocabs unit 2
2. Speaking:
a)-Ask student to read the question and think about their own answers. Monitor
and help if necessary.
Then nominate one student to answer the first question and name other student
to answer the next question. Repeat the procedure for question 3.
b) Ask students the questions about shopping and decide in pairs which option
is correct. Check answers.
c) Read the instructions and play the recording for students to make notes.
-Invite some students to feedback to the class.
-Play the recording twice and check answers.
d) Ask students to read the sentences with the partner and predict the kinds of
information that goes in each space.
-Play recording again and check answer.
e) Ask student questions about shopping again: encourage students using I
think/ I don’t like/ because/ ….
1. What clothes do you like wearing?
2. How often do you buy new clothes?
3. Where do you usually buy your clothes?
4. How much do you spend on your clothes?
