SUBJECT : Spot Report re Alleged Shooting Incident

DATE : February 17, 2023

1. References:
a. Police Blotter Entry No. 2023-02-14, page 40 dated February 17, 2023;
b. Police Operational Procedure.

2. Please be informed that at about 6:10 AM on February 17, 2023, a phone call
received from Barangay Captain _______________ that a shooting incident
transpired at ________________________ at around 6:00 of the same date.

3. Initial investigation disclosed that the victim identified as Ronel Antonio y


Pajdio, 40 years old, born on January 1, 1983, male, married, Catholic, farmer
and a resident of ______________________________ was sitting in the
veranda of his house when a male person shot him several times and fled on
foot to unknown direction after the incident. Victim was rushed to
_____________ District Hospital but was pronounced dead by attending
physician, Dr. _____________ at 10:05 AM of the same day. The victim
sustained multiple gunshot wounds on his upper chest and head. Cadaver of
the victim was brought to their residence at
_______________________________ for customary vigil after his family
refused to have it autopsied. The suspect was later identified as
____________________________, 41 years old, born on February 30, 1982,
male, married, Catholic, farmer and resident of
___________________________________.

4. Interview with the victim’s wife, __________________, revealed that they have
a land dispute problem with _________________________ who continuously
encroached at their property despite being surveyed and settled with the
Municipal Assessors Office a few months ago. Mr. Santos owned the adjacent
land north of their farm or kaingin (uma). Further interview revealed that the
victim and Mr. Johnny Santos had an argument five days before the incident
regarding their land dispute and the latter shouted at the former in the local
vernacular “_________________” (I will shoot you so you will die!) Possible
motive of the incident is land dispute.

5. SOCO team was requested to process the crime scene and found six (6)
pieces of empty shell and one (1) deformed slug. IOC - __________________,
