How to create your first transcript
[Link] Hi I'm Jeff CEO and founder of Trint. We want you to get the most out of your
experience so follow me on this short tour. And we think you'll learn a few things.
[Link] Once your file is transcribed you can use the Trint Editor that you're watching
this on to search verify and if necessary correct. Trint may have difficulty with certain
words and names. For instance my own last name is Kaufman but it's an unusual spelling
so it comes out wrong. To correct it click on my surname and then spell it k o f m a n. And
now here's where things get really cool. Select the corrected word and then click Add to
Vocab at the top of the screen and Trint will remember it and spell it right the next time.
[Link] Now I want to show you how to do a Highlight on Trint. Select a sentence or two
on the screen. Try it now. And then click the Highlight key at the top. You'll see that it
highlights the text. Depending on your plan you can also use multiple colors. But there are
two pieces of timing next to the Highlight. The first tells you exactly where it is in the
transcript and the second tells you how long it is. And then look at the progress bar at the
bottom. It shows you where the highlight is. And you can also customize the timecode if
you need to.
[Link] At the beginning of each paragraph you'll see a caret or a little arrow. Click on
that and you can put in the name of the speaker. Just put in my name Jeff and you'll see it
stays there. When you hit the paragraph or enter button you'll see that it creates a new
paragraph and a new speaker box appears.
[Link] You can adjust the playback speed rate using the controls at the bottom of the
screen.
[Link] You'll also see a yellow button at the top of the screen that says Export. Click
on it and you'll see a bunch of options that are really useful. Select the format you want to
export to and whether you want to export the whole document or just the Highlighted parts.
[Link] Trint also has a free extension for Adobe Premiere Pro video editing letting you
caption and subtitle incredibly easily.
[Link] And there's a lot more. Check out the Trint Features page on our website and
the FAQs on our Help pages. As always we want to hear from you so that we can make
Trint even better. Email us at support@[Link] with ideas and questions. Happy Trinting.
