I. INTRODUCTION
Time management is a type of self management that places a strong emphasis on knowing
what to do, how to do it more effectively, when to do it, and when is the right time for that
particular activity (Savino, 2016). The term "procrastination" is sometimes the reason behind
late assignment submissions. A purposeful delay in completing a task is referred to as
procrastination (Nordby, Klingsieck, & Svartdal, 2017). The ability to manage time
effectively and efficiently has received a lot of attention throughout history and is often seen
as the secret to success (Pugh & Nathwani, 2017; Nasrullah & Khan, 2015).
According to students internationally, time management is a skill that every student should
not only be familiar with but also put to use. Many university students gripe about running
out of time when asked to complete a task, getting frustrated when they are unable to finish it
in time. Time management is crucial, especially for students in higher education because it
will improve their performance and ratings (Nasrullah & Khan, 2015). Students in different
countries are only taught in a certain time.Time is frequently squandered as a result of
unscheduled school closings, teacher absences, tardiness, early dismissals, and inefficient
classroom management (Abadzi, 2009).
Students in the Philippines, and more notably in Manila, have a lot going on in their lives
There are too many tasks to complete, too many classes to attend, too many topics to learn,
too many projects, and only 24 hours in a day. It makes sense that time management is never
simple. (Southville International School and Colleges 2017).
Students in Mindanao, specifically those at Capitol Site, Jolo, Sulu, claim that procrastination
will happen and ruin their productivity if they are anxious about their studies because it will
sap their motivation to work hard. If they are anxious about their studies, they also lose their
sense of time management (Alih & Alvarez, 2021).
Thus, a time manager is important and it might significantly affect a learner's performance in
school and at home. Considering many students spend a lot of their time using their devices
these days, using a project management software to organize a learner's timetable could be
very beneficial.
Time management that works is necessary for students to achieve high marks. Consequently,
the bulk of pupils lacks effective time management abilities and this issue have negatively
impacted their academic and social lives. Therefore, the aim of this study is to find the
effectiveness of time management strategies among Gr 10 students using a project
management software.
