Faculty Development
Program
SY. 2020-2023
Message from the School Principal
The UVCA vision, which states that it " To be one of the
most effective schools who empowers learners towards
spiritual growth and maturity, intellectual and emotional
development, sports and creativity, to bring about unity,
brotherhood and Christian love, as a true result of
evangelization.," depends on excellent and highly qualified
faculty members in teaching and research.
This form of faculty development is the goal of the
Faculty Development Program, 2020-2023. It is a crucial
component of the main tactics used to achieve our vision and
purpose. Support for graduate studies, conducting high
quality research, linkages with local and international
community, among other things, are all included in the
programs.

brotherhood and Christian love, as a true result of evangelization.

Christ-centered society.

Faculty Development Program
Rationale:
The UVCA Faculty Development Program offers appropriate and
pertinent educational experiences to UVCA faculty members who are at
the forefront of teaching, research, and community participation in line
with its vision and goal as one of the top schools in San Pedro, Laguna. To
achieve comprehensive growth as people, learners, and scholars, UVCA is
devoted to creating, nurturing, and supporting the faculty that are
academic front liners, up to date on the most recent advancements and
innovations in their fields of study.
While the immediate goal of the Faculty Development Program is to
help faculty members grow as individuals, it is the students who will
ultimately gain from the presence of highly qualified faculty members
whose pursuit of greatness is at the Program's core.
This Program is just one of the UVCA's ongoing initiatives to
maintain the vibrancy, applicability, and efficacy of its educational goal.
The PEAC seminars on learning and pedagogy, the Administration
Program, and the Professional Learning Communities between and among
departments are similar initiatives that also seek to improve faculty. Along
with these initiatives, the Professors Development Program is founded on
an overarching premise of Christian education: to produce and sustain
outstanding faculty devoted to lifelong evangelizing that is based on
Christ.
