NOISE ABATEMENT
GENERAL
The following regulations shall be applied by ACFT with a MTOM of 34 000 kg or more
and with a certified maximum internal accommodation consisting of more than nineteen
passenger seats, excluding any seats for crew only.
Civil subsonic jet ACFT fitted with engines having a by-pass ratio of less than two
cannot operate to and from the airports of the Republic of Lithuania unless granted
noise certification either:
a) to the standards of ICAO Annex 16, Vol 1, Chapter 3, Part II, or
b] to the standards of ICAO Annex 16, Vol 1, Chapter 2, Part II, provided that they
were first issued an individual certificate of airworthiness less than 25 years ago.
Exemption from the requirements laid down in the paragraph above shall be granted to
ACFT which do not meet the standards specified in ICAO Annex 16, Vol 1, Chapter 3,
Part I1, but which can be altered to meet those standards, provided that:
a) suitable conversion equipment exists and is actually available for the ACFT type in
question;
b) ACFT fitted with such equipment meet the standards of ICAO Annex 16, Vol 1,
Chapter 3, Part Il
The Civil Aviation Administration may permit the operation of ACFT which do not meet
the requirements laid down in the paragraph above.
These exemptions shall be limited to ACFT of historical interest and to:
1a] ACFT whose operations are of such an exceptional nature that it would be
unreasonable to withhold an exemption;
b) ACFT on non-revenue flights for the purposes of alteration, repair or maintenance.Ree Cae e SSN
