Cbt is a learner- centered and a learner based approach to the
training.
9. PRINCIPLES OF CBT

The training is based on curriculum developed from the


competency standards.
-meaning all the activities are during the training is based on
the competency standards towards the attainment of the
competency.

Learning is modular in structure


- Meaning you need to accomplish first your current
competencies before going to the next unit of competency.

Training programs are registered with the UTPRAS (Unified


TVET Program Registration and Accreditation System.
- Because UTPRAS registration assures the quality of
training.

- your major role as a trainer is of coordinating learning activities
other than traditional dispensing information.
-she spend the major portion of the training time giving
demonstrations, assigning tasks to students, providing individual
and small assistance, evaluating trainees progress and providing
individual consultations.

12. ROLE A TRAINEE
-CBT is individualized and learner- centered, therefore trainees
must pursue instruction for their personal goals and objectives.
The trainee spends most of his time in directed self study and
practice, supervised by the trainer who can provide immediate
assistance and feedback.

want to learn it, within a reason.
2. trainees learn at their own rate within program guidelines.
They may speed up, slow down, stop or even repeat a task.

doing.

The most important part of the cblm are the following
Information sheet- this is the most important part of the
cblm because you can find here the information that you need to
know
Self checks- this is an immediate way of checking whether
your trainee is learning what she has learned in the information
sheet. Compare your answer to the answer key provided.

Task sheet, job sheet and operational sheet- this are the
series of task that you need to perform and use the performance
criteria checklist to evaluate when practicing skill.
16. In CBT, I will rate you trainees with competent or not
competent only based on the following:
-demonstration
- oral questioning
-written
Based on the data gathering materials, I found out that only Mr.
Edwin Palma has prior learning in this qualification. And Mr. Rc
you do not worry because I am here to guide and assists you
throughout this training. Mr. Edwin please submit to me
tomorrow your proof of evidence.

the activity matrix under the first UC which is to Operate rice
land preparation machinery and equipment.

Wow! Based on you diploma, you are a graduate of agriculture
engineering in CSU. Amazing! But I still need to verify your
competency through actual demonstration and oral questioning.

Trainees you can now proceed to the learner’s resource area to

borrowers log book ok? If you have question and clarifications,
please approach me and inform me immediately if you are done

FAST LEARNER
Edwin are you ready for the assessment? Yes! please follow me to
the institutional area. Since you have RPL in this UC, can you
please demonstrate to me on how to operate the tractor. (DEMO:
what are the pre-operational check you’ve done in operating the

followed all the procedures and safety standards.

1. What safety aspects must be observed in operating tractors?


- Start engine only from operator’s seat, never start the tractor
engine by shorting across starter terminals. Operate the tractor
only when all guards are fitted in their correct position. Ensure
adequate visibility. Do not attempt to turn the tractor when the
differential lock is engaged. Always stop the engine of the tractor
and lower the implements to the ground before dismounting.

2. How would you know that the field is ready for plowing? (The
field is ready for plowing if it is cleaned and with sufficient water.)

3. If the tractor is difficult to maneuver what would you do?


(Check the front wheel for tires for the uneven wear of the tires.
Check the implements for proper operation, i.e. Adjust if
necessary, check for loose joints, etc.)

In your demonstration, you satisfactorily performed well based on


standards and safety procedures in assessing the field, prepare
machine, operate the tractor and perform post-operation. You
answered all my question correctly based on the competency
standards although kinakabahan ka sa pagsagot ng aking mga
questions. Next be confident in answering ok? I am happy to
inform you are competent in the UC 1 to 5 which is to operate
rice land preparation, crop establishment, crop care, harvesting,
threshing and drying.
