Rose Ann: Since its outbreak in late December 2019, COVID-19 has wreaked
havoc across the world and like any critical sector, education has been hit hard.
Students, schools, colleges and universities have been deeply impacted.
Matthew: Outside the classroom, learning losses may translate into even
greater long-term challenges. It has long been known that decreases in test scores
are associated with future declines in employment. Conversely, increases in
student achievement lead to significant increases in future income, as do
additional years of schooling, which are associated with an 8–9 percent gain in
lifetime earnings.
Rose Ann: To mitigate these challenges while also building a more resilient
system that can withstand future crises - Blended Mode of Learning was
introduced, adapted and practiced by the whole ISCOF System - which is being
supplemented with home-based laboratory activities and learning materials.
Matthew: Instructors where given academic freedom on how to deliver
learning materials to their respective classes such as virtual classrooms, digital
and printed modules, weekly webinars and online discussions with the aid of
multimedia presentations.
Rose Ann: We, the students of the College of Hospitality Management – ISCOF
Dingle Campus are so blessed and privileged enough that we had a roster of
Instructors who are all equipped with skills in streamlining and humanizing the
process of learning.
Matthew: You are right Rose Ann. Indeed, we are lucky enough to be part of
this team who are now on the process of creating a history for the College of
Hospitality Management and I am proud to say that I and my twin brother -
Martin - was able to made a right decision in transferring here at ISCOF Dingle
Campus. Taga ISCOF Gid Kita!
Rose Ann: Taga ISCOF Gid Kita as we break the barrier, as we break the
connotation of the community from “Sa ISCOF Lang” to “Sa ISCOF Gid”.
