SUMMER VACATION HOME WORK (2023-24)

CLASS XII (ENGLISH) V K Rai, PGT English


1.TO PREPARE: Prepare the lessons taught in Flamingo (lesson 1&2)
for Test 1

2. TO READ and WRITE: Read lesson 1,2 and 3 of Vistas and write
summary in points.

3. TO WRITE:
1. You are Mukul, president of Residents Welfare Society
Radhanagar Prayagraj. Your Society has decided to help the poor
and needy children of the city with books and clothing. Write a
notice in about 50 words requesting the residents to donate old
clothes and books in good condition for these children. Give
necessary details.
2. Mr. and Mrs. Bipin Chhabra of Defence Colony, Jodhpur want to
invite friends and relatives on the wedding of their daughter Nishi
with Prakash, s/o Mr. and Mrs. Dilip Raman. Design in about 50
words a formal invitation on behalf of Chhabras giving all
necessary details like date, time and venue.
3. You are Shrikant. You received the invitation of Mr Chhabra (as in
question no 2). Write in about 50 words an informal reply to Mr.
Chhabra either accepting or declining the invitation with reason.
4. On your way from school to home yesterday you saw some shops
on fire in Malviya Nagar. Before arrival of fire fighters there was a
big loss of property. Luckily no loss of life was there. Write in
about 150 words a report to be published in local newspaper. You
are Vinay, a student of G G School Malviya Nagar

PREPARATION FOR PROJECT


Chose any one from the under given topics for project. (Later you
will be given instruction to write a report in about 800-1000 words. As of
now you have to choose the topic of your interest. Before you start
working on it, tell the teacher about your topic. Not more than four
students will work on one topic.
