INFORMATION COLLECTION, AGREEMENT, AND RELEASE

Thank you for your interest in the Internet Safety Evaluator role for our Internet Safety Program
(the “Project”). Please read the description below, TELUS International AI (“TIAI”) is seeking
participants to complete search relevance tasks with the goal of improving search results on the
internet.
Summary
In this role you will be reviewing online search results in order to improve their content and
quality. You will be required to provide feedback and analysis on content found in search engine
results and provide ratings on their relevance to the search terms used. A very important aspect
of this role will involve reviewing and evaluating the video content of potential upsetting or
offensive material to make internet browsing safer and more secure for all users. Through this
work you will be making a valuable contribution by expressing your opinion on the quality and
content of what is currently out there on the web and protecting users from viewing unsuitable
material.
The task can be completed remotely from the comfort of your own home.
Project Schedule
● Expected Project Duration: Ongoing if you continue to meet program requirements and
expectations.
● Please note that each participant can only complete the task once.
Requirements
● You must be 18 + years of age;
● You must own a Desktop PC which supports Google Chrome;
● You must own and use a Smartphone (Android V4.2 or higher or iPhone running iOS
version 13.0 or higher) to complete tasks;
● Access to and use of a broadband internet connection and associated computer to perform
the work, all provided at your own expense;
● In addition to the required language you must be fluent in written and verbal English;
● Gmail must be your primary email account;

● Payment will be processed via Hyperwallet. For the countries that Hyperwallet is not
available in, payment will be processed via bank transfer. For bank transfers we can only
accept account details held in your name and your country of residence

Your participation is voluntary.
Process of Data Collection: TIAI is collecting the information that you submit on behalf of a
non-affiliated customer in the Information Technology industry (“Customer”).
TIAI is collecting the information below to determine your eligibility to participate in a Project
on behalf of our Customer. If you meet the criteria established by our Customer, then we will
proceed with your application.
Data Collected:
TIAI will collect the following information, which may be classified as personal data or similar
term, in the country in which you reside:
Name , E-mail address, Phone number, Address, Payment information, Device information, IP
address
Data Controller:
TIAI, 2251 S Decatur Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89102 is the data controller with regard to the
contract data and demographic data that we collect about you (as described more fully in our
Community Data Privacy Notice), which may include, for purposes of this Project, your name,
contact information, and required language(s) spoken.
Our Customer is the data controller with regard to all of the above information in addition to any
additional information that you choose to submit in connection with the Project (referred to as
“Work Product Data”).

Project requirements
● The use of VPNs, Proxy Servers, IP Unblockers, Hosting Services or any software that
may route your internet traffic outside of your country of residence are strictly prohibited
throughout the application process, exam and when onboard this program. Intentional use
of these services whilst working on the program will result in termination of your
services agreement with the company and in non-payment for services provided to
protect the integrity of our customer’s data.

● Google may ask you to provide information about yourself, including your interests,
preferences, and use of Google and other products in order to personalize the tasks we
assign to you and this may also include content based for you based on the Google
account (Gmail address) that you used to enter the online exam. Depending on the
information provided, tasks may be assigned to you based on your Personalized / Social
Media Usage and Personal Internet History.

● Google may present you with personalized content based on (1) your responses to prior
rating tasks, and (2) your prior and existing use of Google products, including but not
limited to Web History, Location history (including your present location at the time of
the rating), Contents of messages from Gmail and Hangouts, Google Plus activity,
YouTube activity and Google Now cards

● In order to enhance Google's algorithms, Google may monitor and examine your
comments as well as any related data produced by your past and present use of Google
products. This includes information about your past whereabouts as well as information
about how you used EWOQ and other Google-provided rating tools. In order to present
and analyze your rating responses, Google may additionally keep data apart from your
use of Google products.

● By taking part in this kind of rating, I consent to Google enabling experimental features
for my account or on my mobile device in order to assess and rate specific tasks. Any
experimental functionality on my device may be removed after I've completed these
activities. I am aware of the possibility that these experimental features could have an
impact on the data I have on my device or my account.

● Google may continue to store and use the data from your usage of Google products and
any responses to rating tasks even if you delete the corresponding data from Google
services or stop participating in these or any other ratings.

● Participation in these special projects is completely voluntary and does not create a
partnership or employer-employee relationship with Google or TELUS International AI
Inc. Your individual information will be exchanged for these purposes to Google Inc.
within the U.S.

● Your work on this program must be of an individual nature and completed in private.
Sharing of materials or answers is entirely disallowed either during the exam or while
working on the program. The use of different accounts, working with others within the
same area or remotely are entirely disallowed to preserve the integrity of the information
of our program. On the off chance that you're found to be in breach of this it will result in
termination of your services agreement with the company and in non-payment for
services provided to protect the integrity of our customer’s information.

Use:
TIAI’s Use of Your Contract Data and Demographic Data: TIAI will use your personal data for
the following purposes:
o Project Purposes: to determine eligibility to participate in tasks
o Contractual Purposes: to fulfill our contractual obligation with our customer that has
commissioned the Project
o Legal Purposes: to protect our rights and interests, your rights and interest, and the
rights and interests of our customers, and
o Other Purposes: As permitted by applicable law and as detailed in our Community Data
Privacy Notice
Customer Use of Your Data: Our Customer will use your personal data for the purposes
described below:
● Project Purposes: to determine eligibility to participate in tasks

● Research Purposes: to improve performance of customer products and services

Sharing:
TIAI may share your personal data as follows:
● Our Service Providers: we share your/payment information with service providers that
assist us in compensating you for participating in the Project.
● Our Customer: we share all of the Data that we collect through this Project, with the
exception of financial information and address details, with our Customer. Our Customer
will use the Data for its own research purposes.

For purposes set forth in any other notice provided to you and as set forth in our Community
Data Privacy Notice.
Data Subject Rights: In certain countries, you may exercise certain rights with regard to your
personal data. Please see our Community Data Privacy Notice for information about your rights.
Transfer of Data: We may transfer your data to a third country that does not have the same
level of data protection as your home country. Please see our Community Data Privacy Notice
for additional information.
