[= Self-regulation means understanding your emotions — especially negative emotions— ‘and managing what you say or ddo when you fel those emotions. Selfregulation helps you think before you act. Self-regulation is something that people start to learn froma very eatly age. For example, a child might get upset at the supermarket because she wants to buy candy, but her mother says no ‘The child begins to cry and scream loudly to express her feelings.
