what we call adverb.
Adverbs are the words or phrase that describe or
modifies an adjective, verb, or even another
adverb.
The old man walks slowly.
Abstraction

We have different kinds of adverb. We are going to


discuss about adverb of manner, adverb of place,
adverb of time. The students participate in the class actively.
Let us discuss the following sentences.

 The old man walks slowly.


How the old man walks?

The word slowly tells how the old man walks.

The words slowly and actively are examples of


adverb of manner,
