This year I was able to be a leader in organizing and implementing the summer transition program. Over the last 3 years I
have enjoyed being a part of this initiative. It has allowed me to connect with our students and their parents to help prepare
them for their transition in or back to Ascension of Our Lord. Many of these students had exceptional learning needs, as well
as anxiety about coming back to school after being at home for the summer or an extended period of time participating in
online learning. It was beneficial to be able to start the year off connecting with families to see what their needs are and to
start planning around that. I have already forged great relationships with families, where they feel comfortable coming to me
with their concerns and advocating for their Childs needs.

By participating in transition meetings and case conferences for our students in both the PIP & Communication programs I
am able to collaborate with parents to help ensure programming meets the students transition goals. We also encourage
students to be a part of these meetings so their voice can also be heard.

Overall, I am in constant contact with families and students, doing my best to ensure they can be successful in their courses.
If that means assisting the classroom teacher in accommodating students or assisting families in getting the technology, they
need for their child to be active in the classroom environment.

Annual Learning Plan (ALP)

Other Comments (Teacher)

As this is my third year as an ARDH, it is important for me to continue to develop my leadership abilities and help to create
balance in the department. Last year I was able to be equity teacher lead and learned a lot about being an ally and
supporting initiatives that create safe inclusive environments for our students and staff.

One of my goals is to ensure that our exceptional learners are receiving the supports they are entitled too, as well as
supporting their self-esteem, advocacy, and dignity. As a Catholic teacher I would like to continue to ensure that we are
holding the Catholic graduate expectations as a guide to help inform our teaching practice through the lens of the gospel
teachings.

I always look forward to collaboration whether it be with my colleagues or the students I serve to help inform my practice,
create safe learning environments and to help me be the most effective ARDH I can be.
