INTRODUCTION

1.1 ORGANIZATION PROFILES

Fish cracker begins decades ago when the fisherman got a lot of seafood. The abundance
of fish caught made the people on the coast creates new food. Food that originally had no name
was given a name in conjunction with the way it was made. In the early days of making fish
crackers, the villagers used fish filling mixed with sago flour. When the two ingredients are
mixed and kneaded, the mixture is pounded and produces a “kelepok” sound. Over time, the
word “keropok” was used and became the name of this special dish. There are two types of fish
crackers in Terengganu which are Lekor crackers and Chip crackers. Chip crackers are produced
by thinly slicing the fish mixture and drying it in the middle of heat to produce instant crackers
that can be stored for a long time.

Khepok Tokku Food Express is one of the subsidiaries under the Keropok lekor company
which is one of the traditional foods of the state of Terengganu. It is a snack-type food that is
usually served during afternoon tea in the state of Terengganu. It has delicious taste makes it a

popular food among Malaysians, especially in Terengganu. This can be proven by the rows of
buses and cars that visit stalls that sell fish crackers during the school holidays and other public
holidays when groups from outside the state of Terengganu come. Khepok Tokku Food Express
is a Bumiputera company established on 3 May 2018 doing business in the fish-based food
industry of Lekor crackers, Chip crackers, and instant crackers that are located at Lot No. 3058
Terengganu Halal Park Chendering, 21080 Kuala Terengganu, Terengganu.

The idea of setting up this business was started by Miss Norainah binti Kamal who is the
manager of Khepok Tokku Food Express. To boost the product sales, Khepok Tokku Food
Express has a marketing team that is led by Nur Hamizah binti Baharudin, and Majidah binti
Bidin for finance. The business organization has decided to implement an E-Commerce for the
Khepok Tokku Food Express for the process of selling and buying because there is no official
online store for the business operation. Where the customers need to contact through mobile
phones such as Whatsapp to get product information.

The type of organization for Khepok Tokku Food Express is industry vertical because its
focuses on the specific consumers that meet the needs of customers in the food industry only.
Generally, in vertical markets, the business organization may sell only one or multiple products.

For example, Khepok Tokku Food Express makes and sells products made from fish. It shows
that the Khepok Tokku Food Express is a very specific vertical market.

There are a lot of competitors in the food industry. When compared to the website market,
Khepok Tokku Food Express needs to compete with others business organization that produce
products from fish and make fish crackers such as fateha keropok lekor and kita sama food.
Nevertheless, Khepok Tokku Food Express is confident that they are one of the best food
company that produces fish crackers and compete with the other brands in terms of offering
cheap prices, the best quality fish crackers, and attractive designs. Hence, Khepok Tokku Food
Express needs to boost its marketing strategies through social media and make advertisements.
They also offer a combo set for product purchases and give a discount price to the customers.

To be the leading producer of instant fish crackers in the Malaysian and international markets.

MISSION

To be the largest manufacturer and supplier of instant fish crackers in Malaysia by offering high-
quality products to customers by maintaining the original taste of Terengganu fish crackers.

1.2 OBJECTIVES

1. To develop a user-friendly interface for the e-commerce of Khepok Tokku Food


Express with accessibility and effortless navigation
2. To reach the maximum number of customers at the right time to increase sales and
profitability of Khepok Tokku Food Express
3. To understand and implied elements of e-commerce specification.

1.3 TARGET USER

E-commerce systems have revolutionized the way people shop for goods and services. These
systems provide a convenient and efficient way for customers to browse, select, and purchase
products from the comfort of their own homes. The target users of e-commerce for Khepok
Tokku Food Express can be broadly classified into several categories.

The first target group of e-commerce for Khepok Tokku Food Express are online
shoppers. These are individuals who prefer to shop online rather than in physical stores. They
value the convenience and ease of use that e-commerce systems provide. Online shoppers
appreciate the ability to browse through a wide variety of products and compare prices without

having to leave their homes. They also appreciate the ability to purchase products at any time of
the day or night, without the need to worry about store hours.

Another target group of e-commerce for Khepok Tokku Food Express are busy
individuals. These are people who may not have the time or ability to visit physical stores. They
may have busy work schedules, family obligations, or physical limitations that make it difficult
for them to shop in person. E-commerce systems provide a convenient alternative, allowing them
to shop at any time of the day or night, without the need to worry about store hours.

A third target group of e-commerce for Khepok Tokku Food Express is people living in
remote areas. These are individuals who may not have access to a wide variety of goods and
services in their local area. E-commerce systems provide a way for them to access products that
may not be available locally. This can include specialty products, hard-to-find items, or products
that are not available in their local area.

In conclusion, e-commerce for Khepok Tokku Food Express has a wide range of target
users. These include online shoppers, busy individuals, and people living in remote areas. E-
commerce systems provide a convenient and efficient way for customers to shop for goods and
services, making it easy for them to find what they need and when they need it.

CHAPTER 4:
SYSTEM DESIGN

4.1 Context Diagram (DFD Level 0)

Figure 4.1 above shows a DFD level 0 for Khepok Tokku Food Express. It is a basic overview
that presented the whole system and the process being analyzed for the system with incoming
and outgoing arrows indicating input and output data. It have 2 entities which are customer and
amin. According to the diagram, the customers can purchase any product that is available on the
website and make payments after the purchase order of the product. All the transactions will get
the order receipt and order status via their email. Besides, the admin can update the stock of the
product and manage the customer’s order. The system will notify the admin for the product
purchases to take action for the status order such as paid or unpaid. However, the admin can
generate the sales report from the system.

4.2 DFD Level 1 Diagram

The context diagram is divided up into multiple processes. Figure 4.2 above shows the
DFD level 1 diagram of Khepok Tokku Food, it illustrates the system's necessary tasks and
divides the high-level process of DFD level 0 into subprocesses. The first level of the process is
admin can manage the products and update the products in the system. The input data of the
products will be stored in the product details database.

Next is the view products process, the customers will search for the product that they want and
the system will display the product details including product price. They can choose the products
and move to the create order process which is customers can make a purchase and purchase
details will store in the purchase details database.

The fourth process is the customers must make a payment after they proceed with the order
through cash of delivery or online banking. Therefore, after the payment process is completed,
the system will generate the receipt for the customers through their email.

In the sixth process, the admin will manage the customer’s order which is preparing the orders
and taking action for the order status such as paid or unpaid. The order history including order
status will be stored in the system database. However, the last process in DFD level 1 is to allow
the admin to generate sales reports.

4.3 Functional Hierarchy Diagram

A functional hierarchy diagram is one that demonstrates how all the functions in the system have
developed in a hierarchical form. It does not demonstrate how organizational units have
developed to participate in activities like data flows or storage. All that is specified are the parent
function and its child functions. The following below is the functional hierarchy diagram of the
Khepok Tokku Food Express system.

CONCLUSION

5.1 CONCLUSION

In conclusion, Khepok Tokku Food Express is a business that sells the product
which instant fish crackers. The purpose of the e-commerce website is to increase the
profitability of the business and allow it to reach out to more customers which can
expand the business. To build an e-commerce website, we have done research and
observation from several similar existing systems to get an idea for designing and
developing the system. As a result, we have implemented the functionalities and features
as listed in the E-Marketplace and Mechanisms, Standards and Metrics, Customer
Relations Management and Tools, and Transactions of the E-Commerce on our e-
commerce website.

Therefore, this website was created by using wix.com and easystore.co as our
business platforms where it allows customers to buy the product online and manage the
business process through multiple sales channels. Hence, with the existence of the system,
it can increase sales revenues, reduce costs, and be able to expand the business into
global markets.

Hence, e-commerce development is a vital aspect of modern business operations.


It provides businesses with the ability to reach a wider audience, improve customer
satisfaction, and increase revenue. E-commerce systems are designed to provide
customers with a convenient, efficient, and personalized shopping experience. They are
also designed to integrate seamlessly with other business systems and processes, such as
inventory management, logistics, and customer relationship management. Developing an
e-commerce system requires careful planning, design, and testing to ensure that it meets
the needs of the business and its customers. With the right approach, e-commerce
development can help businesses to grow and thrive in today's competitive marketplace.
