Writing Assignment # 1 Period 1
My name is Andrea Nicole Petty. I was born July 4, 1993, in Lapel, Indiana. Before I was born, my mother and biological father separated. Robert Skirvin, my step-father, stepped in and raised me as his own. I started my first day of Kindergarten on August 18, 1999 at Lapel Elementary. My teachers name was Mrs. Weis, and I was in her p.m. Kindergarten class. I had a best friend in Kindergarten, and her name was Tadessa Thompson, and we were together most of the time. When I was in first grade, on Valentines Day, I moved to Anderson. I was scared to start at a new school with all new people whom I had never met before. A few weeks later, I started my first day at Edgewood Elementary, in Mrs. Hudsons class. There I met my new friends, Xavier Cortez, JulieAnn Guerra, and Macy Hoyle. They were nice to me immediately, and accepted me right away. My second grade year, I met Kelsey Albin. I showed her around Edgewood Elementary, because she was new to the school. She and I became the best of friends all the way through elementary school, and middle school. I havent seen her since freshman year, and I missed her. When I was in fourth grade, I was out of school for two weeks, because I had tonsillitis and I had to get my tonsils taken out. When I came back to school, our whole class went to Exchange City. Exchange City was a place where you were assigned a job and you got paid to do it. It was a taste of the real world for all of us. Then came middle school, and I was terrified. I made my way through North Side Middle School, making friends and enemies, like your typical middle school student. Before I knew it, I was a freshman at Anderson High School. My sophomore year, I met Aaron Ross. I hadnt known what was going to happen between us, because we were two totally opposite people at first. Once we got to know each other, we became a couple and spent everyday together. We started dating on March 15, 2010, and we are still together to this very day. We may fight a lot, but the love we have developed, prevails after an argument.
Writing Assignment # 1 Period 1
In September of my junior year, my biological father contacted me. A few months later, I got to meet Isaac Beeson and Jennifer Beeson; my father and his wife. My father works for Midland Towing and he works all the time, so I dont get to see him as often as Id like to. When I met my father, I was surprised at how much I looked and acted like him. A few months after meeting my biological father, I met my best friend, Autumn Clevenger. As soon as we met, she and I got along right away. Over the summer before my senior year, we went swimming all the time and I would stay at her house. Her older step-brother, Justin, is mean and calls me silly names. When Im with Autumn, I always have fun. Now its August 25, 2011, and Im a proud senior at Anderson High School. Im 18 years old, and Im about ready to move in with Aaron. I am an adult, ready to go into the real world and make something of my life. I take piano, madrigals, photography, economics, and creative writing. Im excited for June, because I know Ill be a high school graduate.
