Ms. Karen Williams, Esq.

Williams Firm, P.C.
10 Glenlake Pkwy NE Suite 130
Atlanta, GA 30328

Dear Ms. Williams,

I am writing to request consideration for your Paralegal position posted on Indeed. I

believe my prior experience as a paralegal working in multiple practice areas and the
knowledge I have gained from pursuing my degree make me an outstanding candidate
for your consideration.

The job posting states that you are searching for someone with prior legal experience,
great time-management skills, and strong communication abilities. I have worked in a
firm handling criminal defense, family law, bankruptcy, and estate planning for over two
years. I am constantly participating in new workshops to further my knowledge in all of
these areas of law, and I am the point of contact for my office staff regarding current
best practices and guidelines. In addition to the education I pursue through work, I am
also taking leadership classes within my degree along with my psychology classes.
These classes have allowed me to create new leadership and management strategies
within my current office to streamline the processes between attorneys and their support
staff.

Throughout my career, I have had extensive experience with drafting various

documents including motions, orders, subpoenas, and affidavits. In addition to this, I
have assisted in the trial preparations for a large number of clients for both criminal and
civil cases. My duties in this process include preparing exhibits, scheduling and
organizing witnesses, conducting legal research, and assisting in client meetings. While
handling all of these tasks, I also support our administrative team by answering phone
lines, maintaining the file system both physically and electronically, and holding initial
client interviews to gather information about their cases. All of this experience and these
skills are precisely what you have listed as things you would prefer an ideal candidate to
possess in your job posting.
The programs that I have mastered and use for my daily tasks include LEAP, Microsoft
Office, Odyssey, PeachCourt, Adobe, and Nuance. I handle all documents that need to
be e-filed and I maintain the attorneys’ master calendars for them. To manage my
workload, I must maintain excellent time management, communication, and
organization both mentally and within my workspace. These are all things I excel at and
am able to easily stay on top of.

The attached resume has further information and details on my work experience and my
education. I would be grateful for the opportunity to meet with you to further discuss my
qualifications for your Paralegal position. You can reach me at any time by calling me at
(770) 373-7122 or via email at [email protected].

Warm regards,

Emma Clark
