Reflection:
Today in our online meeting, we are assigned to do a laboratory activity wherein we will
connect PC’s to a switch and connecting it to a router using the Cisco Packet Tracer.
Throughout this laboratory activity, our group learned how to connecting different devices like
the PC, switch and router because unlike the first time we used Cisco, we only assigned to do
a peer-to-peer connection using PC. Although, we did not tackle thoroughly the said laboratory
activity but our group was confident that we can do it since we already have a background
using the Cisco Packet Tracer.
Connecting a computer to a switch using Cisco equipment can be a straightforward process,
but it's essential to follow proper procedures to ensure a reliable and secure network connection.
It's crucial to follow proper network security protocols when connecting your computer to a
switch using Cisco equipment, this includes configuring the IP address. In summary,
connecting a computer to a switch using Cisco equipment requires proper cable selection,
configuring network settings, and following IP addressing. By following these steps, you can
establish a reliable and secure network connection for your computer.
Regardless, we find it successful because we managed to do it in a small amount of time since
we already have an idea how we will do it. Overall, we are happy that we experienced doing
the connecting different devices available in Cisco and applying what we already know based
on the previous lessons and we are looking forward to do this kind of activity.
