“SCRIPT FOR TEACHING DEMONSTRATION”

A. PRELIMINARY ACTIVITIES - (Prayer, Greetings, Checking of Attendance)

Teacher 1: Before anything else, I want you to arrange your chairs and pulutin muna yung mga papel na
nag kalat sa ilalim ng mga upuan ninyo.

Teacher 2: Okay malinis na ba ang ilalim ng upuan ninyo? So okay let's pray. Who can lead the prayer?
Anyone?

Teacher 2: So okay, you may now take your seats.

Teacher 1 & 2: Good morning class.

Teacher 1: I am Teacher Clarisse.

Teacher 2: And I am Teacher Dawn.

Teacher 1 & 2:So we are your teachers for today.

B. LESSON PROPER

1. ACTIVITY

Teacher 2: So before the discussion will start we prepared an activity to all of you na paniguradong mag
eenjoy at ma aamaze kayong lahat. Okay so are you ready?

Students: Yes Teacher!

Teacher: So today, we prepared a materials that we will be using for today. But before that we will be
divided you into Three (3) Groups.

Teacher 2: So let's start counting from you 1,2,3... All number 1 will sit here, all number 2 here and 3
here.

Teacher 1: So let's start (Distribute the Materials: Empty Bottle, Balloon, Baking Soda, Vinegar)

Teacher 1 & 2: (Assist and Give Instructions)

( A FEW MINUTES LATER...)

Teacher 2: Are you done?

Students: Yes Teacher!

Teacher 1: Are you done?

Students: Yes Teacher!

Teacher 1: So ano yung napapansin ninyo? Anyone from the group?

( Students will share their observations)

Teacher 1: Its because when baking soda and vinegar are mixed together, it creates a gas called
Carbondioxide. The gas begins to expand in the bottle and starts to inflate the balloon.
Teacher 2: Yes tama si Teacher Clarisse and the more gas that is created, the larger the balloon will
inflate.

2. ANALYSIS

Teacher 1: Now class, I want you to look around you. Could you look at your right? To your left? Behind
you? Infront of you? What did you see? Now let me tell you that those things that you see are Matter.

3. ABSTRACTION

Teacher 2: Now what is Matter? Let us read.

Matter- is anything that occupies space and has weight. (Again/Repeat)

Teacher 2: Meaning all the things around you, all the things that you can see that has space in this world
and has weight whether heavy or light are all matter.

Teacher 2: Now, There are different kinds or states of Matter. We will go to them one by one. Are you
ready? I'm sure you're ready! Now lets go to the different states of matter.

1. SOLID (SHOW THE DEFINITION SA PPT AND READ)

Teacher 2: Let us have this action you do this (Solid) have your palm open like this and then you fist like
this and you say SOLID! One more time... SOLID! What are the characteristics of Solid things? Lets take a
look at them.

Teacher 2: Solid- you can see- Solids are the things that you can see. Can you say that? You say, YOU
CAN SEE—with your eyes. What else? You can hold.. Okay everything that you can see and you can hold
are called Solids. Later, I will give some examples and one more time solids have definite shape. Now
lets take a look at the different examples of solids.

(Ipakita ang Examples sa PPT)

Teacher 2: These are all examples of solid. We can see them, we can hold them with our hands and they
have definite shape. Let's call them Solid. Now let's call them Solid. Now lets go to the several state of
matter which is LIQUID. Now what is Liquid? (Ipakita ang definition sa PPT and Read) What are the
characteristics of liquid?

1. You can see.. What else? You cannot hold. The liquid things you may be able to touch it but you
cannot put it in your hands. Lets try for example.. I have here a bowl with water. Water is one of the
examples of liquid. Now I will try to get water. See? I can touch it but let me try to get water and catch
it. See? Dili nako siya makuha. Because this is liquid and one of its characteristics is you cannot hold it
and you cannot put it in your hands unlike the solid things. What else? It has no definite shape. No
definite shape of course because it follows the shape of its container. Remember this bowl that I've
shown you a while ago? Look at the water inside so it follows the shape of the bowI. I have here an
examples of LIQUID. (Ipakita ang Example sa PPT) So these are the examples of liquid. Now Teacher
Clarisse will take a look at the third one. This is GAS.

Teacher 1: You say GAS. You cannot see. With Gas, you cannot see them. Next, you cannot hold. You
cannot catch them or put it in your hands. No definite shape because same as liquid it follows the shape
of its container. Next is you can feel it.

Teacher 2: So today, children we have learned the Three States of Matter. What are those?

( STUDENTS WILL ANSWER)

Teacher 1: So now Teacher Clarisse would like to know if you understand our lesson. I have here
examples of things and I want you to put them in the right box. So who will volunteer first?

4. APPLICATION

Teacher 2: So did you understand our lesson? Any questions? Clarifications? So now I want you to go
back with your group yung kanina. Now I want you to answer this worksheet with your group. The
Instruction says: Make a representation of the atoms in which state of Matter in 5 minutes.

Teacher 1: Are you done? So you may now pass it in front and go back to with your seats.
