Ballroom Dance Competition Mechanics

Each department will send one pair of dancers to compete in a ballroom dance competition. Pairs will film themselves dancing three Latin dances (cha-cha-cha, rumba, and jive) together for a maximum of one minute per routine to their own music. Videos must be under 4 minutes, in 16:9 aspect ratio at 1280x720 pixels or higher definition in MP4 format. Dancers should wear appropriate attire and send their entry video and information to the specified email by the deadline. Pairs will be judged on timing, musicality, posture, togetherness, footwork, and intangible elements for a total score out of 100%.

BALLROOM DANCE COMPETITION

Mechanics:

1. A team shall be composed of one (1) pair per department.


2. The maximum time for every routine is one (1) minute and each pair shall dance the following
Latin dance CHA-CHA-CHA, RUMBA and JIVE.
3. A pair shall have their own music
4. Film yourself while dancing.
5. Maximum duration of the video is 4 minutes.
6. A pair shall wear a dance sport attire provided that it will not be so daring (ex. Plunging neckline,
low back, revealing too much of the human body).
7. The video must be in 16:9aspect ratio with 1280 x 720 pixel size or high definition and should be
in MP4 format

Criteria:
