PROJECT REPORT PLANNING
I. INTRODUCTION TO RESEARCH STUDY

II. REVIEW OF LITERATURE
ROL: Previous studies related to your studies i.e. past and present data related to the
study. For B.Com/BBA it should be not less than 25 literature reviews. The
arrangement should according to the date of publication.
III. RESEARCH METHODOLOGY
a. Methodology
b. Data Management
Primary Data – Min. 3 to six months required; Questionnaire should be at 5-point
likert scale
Secondary Data – Min. 1 year to 3 years
c. Population – for HR & Marketing, Target Audience Population
d. Sample Size - Minimum 50 respondents
e. Statistical tool used for Analysis – Percentage (%), T-test, F-test
f. Period of Study – not less than 45 days.
IV. THEORETICAL FRAMEWORK
Under this chapter all the content related to theory should be mentioned like
Introduction to the topic, need & importance, scope, advantages & disadvantages,
types / kinds of …., different theories if exist, limitations, etc. and any other related
essential content to the included. The student should specify the content source like
“According to the Porter’s …,” (it can be from text books, journals, magazines and
internet.)

Findings should be specific the outcomes or implications of the analysis in
unordered list.
Conclusions should be made based on the research carried and findings extracted and
the conclusions must be written in detail not less than 2 full size paragraphs
VIII. SUGGESTIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS
Suggestions are given according to the objectives listed above and
recommendations which are given beyond the objectives.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR TYPING/PRINTING
The project report should be strictly prepared according to the following guidelines.
Finalization of the Project Report: Student should obtain clearance (Review) from
their respective guide at all stages viz. before finalizing the Topic and Title, Synopsis,
Data Analysis, Draft copy of the Report and Final printing of the Project Report.
Paper The size of the paper sheet: A4 Typing should be done on one side of
the paper.
Main Heading: 16
Sub-heading: 14;
Font Type: New Times Roman; Size: 12;
Line Spacing Body of the text: 1.5 lines;
List oftables/graphs/charts/bibliography: Single Line
Alignment Title Page: Centre
Chapter heading: Left
Subheading: Left
Bodyof Text: Justify
Page Layouts: Margin at the binding edge (Left) : 1.25” or 3cm;
Margin at Right, Top, Bottom: Not less than 1” or 2.54cm.
Titles: All titles and subtitles should be printed in BOLD. All the
Tables/Graphs/Charts/ should have appropriate titles.
Numbering of the Tables/Graphs/Charts: Tables/Graphs/Charts should be
numbered in the following fashion. Second table/Graph/Chart in Second Chapter
should be numbered as Table/Graph/Chart No 2.02 where first digit stands for Chapter
No. and digits after (.) period stand for serial number of Table/Graph/Chart in that
chapter. Same numbering system should be followed for other chapters.
Tables/Graphs/Charts must be followed by proper explanation and analysis.
Pagination: The title page should not carry any page number.
For initial pages(i.e. from students declaration to Executive Summary) numbersshould
be given in small Roman Numbers. (Like i, ii, iii, iv, etc.)
Report should contain main page numbers (i.e.1, 2…..).

Main page numbers should start from first page of Chapter 1 and will continue until
last page of the report. Page numbers are to be given at the centre or right of bottom of
the page.
Pages separating Chapters should not be numbered but be counted. (Chapter Title
Cover page)
Binding of the report: The project should be hard bound with golden embossing as
per the standard format
Number of copies to be prepared: 2 Hard Bound copies, 1 Spiral Binding and 1 soft
copy (should be sent through mail). Before submission Students must sign
Declaration and Acknowledgement before putting for the signature of the Guide.
Guide Name: Guide name should be written with Prefix “Ms./Mr./Dr.” followed by
Name and Designation. (please check the spelling of the Guide Name, Principal Name
and Other names used in the project report)
BIBLIOGRAPHY: Word or list of the words referred in a text or consulted by you
for writing report. It should be arranged in alphabetical order by name of the
authors.
For books Name of the author (last name first) Title of the book, Edition, year of
publication, No of Vol. (if any) Name and place of publisher.
Example: Kothari, C.R. Research methodology, 3rd edition, 1997, Vikas
Publishing House Pvt. Ltd, New Delhi.
For Research Papers, Published articles, Magazines, Periodicals, Journals,
Newspaper etc. follow APA Style of referencing. Name of the author (last name
first), Title of the article, (in quotation mark) Name of the Journals/ Periodicals/
Magazines etc in italics, Volume number, year, Page numbers.
Example: Wortman, Maxs (Jr.) “Entrepreneurship: An Integrating Typology
and Evaluation of the Empirical Research in the field”, Journal of Management,
Vol.13 (2), 1967,pp 259-279.
Online published material on World Wide Web (Alphabetically arranged
Webliography) Name of the Website, Date and time of referring the Website,
Name of the Author, Title/Topic

1) ABSTRACT - (It should be about ½ page)
An abstract is a summary of your project, explaining briefly on:
How you are going to do the project?
How you are going to collect the data?
What are the methods using for your analysis?
2) INTRODUCTION – (It should not be less than 2 pages)
Introduction should contain about the study and topic.
3) NEED
What is the need to select that topic?
4) IMPORTANCE
What is the importance of the selected topic?
5) OBJECTIVES – 2 to 3
Develop or Set objectives i.e. what exactly the researcher wants to knowfrom the
project study?
Example:
1. To study about the performance appraisal method followed in thecompany.
2. To determine the satisfaction level of the employees.
6) RESEARCH METHODOLOGY (Tools used, Sample)
RM shows what are the methods they are about to follow to collectingdata, for
analyzing the data collected, etc.?
7) DATA COLLECTION – Type of Source
Whether it is planned to collect data through Primary source (first hand data) or
secondary source(already published viz. Magazine and journals, articles or research
papers, project reports, websites, company magazines,etc.).

2. Introduction & Review of Literature: 02rd March , 2023
3. Data Analysis & PPT: 14th April 2023
4. Final submission - 17th April, 2023
