Service Tool Connector

Use the service tool connector to connect an electronic service tool to the engine in order to
communicate with the Electronic Control Module (ECM). Use the electronic service tool to service the
engine.

Emergency Stop Switch

NOTICE
Only stop the engine with the "EMERGENCY STOP" switch
during an emergency situation. Do not use the "EMERGENCY
STOP" switch for normal engine stopping.

To prevent damage to the engine, use the mode "CONTROL"

switch or the remote "START/STOP" switch for normal engine
stopping.

Note: More than one emergency stop switch may be available for use on your application.

The emergency stop switch is in the OUT position for normal engine operation. Press the switch for an
emergency shutdown. When the emergency stop switch is pressed, the ECM immediately terminates
ignition and the ECM immediately de-energizes the gas shutoff valve. The ECM logs a diagnostic code
when the emergency stop switch is activated.

The push switch includes a mechanical latch. The switch must be twisted clockwise in order to release.
The emergency shutdown control must be released before the ECM can be reset.

Note: This shutdown is latched. The ECM must be powered down prior to restarting the engine.

In order to restart the engine, reset the emergency stop switch. Set the engine control to the "OFF"
position. Then, use the engine control to start the engine. The engine will be restarted.
