Purpose: In this course we reviewed the SDLC. Your final assignment requires you to assess the
practical application of SAP implementation via a case study, integrating concepts covered within this
course.
Task: Working in teams, review the assigned case study and answer the questions submitting your
findings via MS Word by April 6, 2023.
Learning Objectives:
1. Understanding the challenges of a big-bang ERP implementation in a hospital environment
2. Reflecting on the key success factors of IT projects
3. Understanding the process of change management and identifying the key steps and activities
of change management
Key Evaluation Elements:
1. Development (50%)
a. Quality of answers and substantiated responses.
b. Clearly answered the respective questions.
2. Organization, Recommendations and Logical Flow (50%)
a. Coherence of responses.
b. Appropriate incorporation and citation of supporting material, as applicable.
Case Study Questions
1. What is specific to SAP implementation in a hospital?
2. What were the driving forces and restraining forces of this change? Research and conduct a
force field analysis.
3. What aspects of the implementation and subsequent use and improvement of the integrated
information system did VLF handle well? What could have been done differently?
