Are you an expat?
Welcome!
How does the Belgian social security system work?

Belgium has an effective social security system from which you can benefit as an expat. The Belgian social security system is
funded by the State and the contributions collected by the NSSO (National Social Security Office).
The INAMI/RIZIV (National Institute for Health and Disability Insurance) organises and manages mandatory healthcare insurance.
Among other things, it defines the rules for reimbursement of healthcare services.

What about my health insurance organisation?

Your health insurance organisation is the interface between citizens and the INAMI/RIZIV. You submit your reimbursement claims
to your health insurance organisation, and we support you throughout your health procedures!
And a health insurance organisation offers its customers more: at Partenamut, you benefit not only from additional reimburse-
ments for your healthcare, but also for joining a sports club or for your children’s holidays.
