Difference between Twisted Pair Cable and Fiber Optic Cable?

- Twisted pair cables are used for wire shielding and data networks while fiber optic cable
also known as an optical-fiber cable, is an assembly similar to an electrical cable but
containing one or more optical fibers that are used to carry light.

Harness

Hubs 1. Center of a star network

Network linking device 2. Connect nodes in the network

Router 3. Network is segmented by IP address.

Gateway 4. Connects two dissimilar networks.

Fiber optic cable 5. Data is transmitted with light pulses.
