Other components are lubricated via grease fittings. Drain oil from swivel after every well or every 30 days, and fill to within one inch of filler plug. Grease upper oil seal, bail pins and washpipe packing daily. Use only recommended lubricants or approved equivalents. Oil Capacity: 4 Imperial Gallons. [LH Thread] Unscrew top Packing Nat (Item 4). [L.H. Thread] Push Items 4 (Top Packing Nut), 21 (Packing Ring Upper.) 20 (Packing & O'Ring) and 6 (Bottom Quill Nut) together in the centre of the Washpipe, then remove these components up and out through the bonnet (Item 9), opposite the Rotary Hose. Slide item 20 (Packing), 22 (Packing Ring - Middle Bottom), 23 (Packing Ring - Bottom) and 24 (Packing Ring - Lower Bottom) off the Washpipe. 7. Components can now.be cleaned and new Packing and Washpipe installed, ASSEMBLY : 8. Push Washpipe into Item 6 (Bottom Quill Nut) until the End is even with the Bottom of the Nut 9. Place Item 4 (Top Packing Nut) over Washpipe then insert Item 20 (Top Packing), Iter 21 (Packing Ring- Upper) and Item 25 (Snap Ring- Washpipe). Make sure Snap Ring is seated in the Groove in the Washpipe. 10. Lightly grease Top O'Ring and place on the groove in the Upper Packing Ring 11, Pu tem 20 (Packing), 2 (Ring-Midde, Botan), 20 (Packing, 24 (Packing Rng-Lower Bots) and yRing. Fill all the cavities and the inside diameter of the Packing with Molybedenum Disulfide Base Grease. 12. Lightly grease Bottom O'Ring and place on the groove in the Packing Ring-Lower Bottom. SWIVEL TO BE RACKED To prevent Washpipe and Packing Box Parts corroding, remove these Parts, clean, dry and liberally grease. ‘They maybe reassembled less the Packing until the Swivel is to be used again. When reassembling with Packing for service, remove the grease from these parts.
