What is the American Airlines Cadet Academy (AACA)?
The American Airlines Cadet Academy is an integrated flight training program that provides a
clearly defined path to becoming a professional pilot.
The Cadet Academy gives passionate qualified candidates the tools and financial resources they
need to become an Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) rated pilot.
The goal of the program it to make flight training cost effective, efficient and more accessible.

Turnkey approach with a defined syllabus and clear path to meet airline pilot qualifications.
TWO financing options to cover program cost.
American partners with two financing institutions. Each offer a unique financing opportunity to
American Airlines Cadets.
Mentorship from an American Airlines pilot.
Each program participant has access to a pilot mentor to help ensure success in the program.
Employment opportunities with American Airlines regional carriers.
Although a job is not guaranteed, AACA will give participants the necessary resources to be a
successful candidate for an interview at Envoy, Piedmont, and PSA.

Work for one of American's regional
carriers: Envoy, Piedmont or PSA
Phase 4 Benefit from a contractual flow
agreement as you gain seniority.
Automatically be offered a first
officer position with American
Airlines.
