Personality Sketch
The person who has impressed me the most because of their outstanding contributions and
services to society is Leni Robredo. Leni Robredo was the previous vice president of the
Philippines before Sara Duterte took over the position. She is now 57 years old and earned a
degree in economics in 1986 from the University of the Philippines. She studied law at the
University of Nueva Caceres and graduated in the year 1992. She passed the bar exam five years
later. Leni Robredo is a Catholic, but despite that, she ensures that her religious beliefs won’t
interfere with her duties in the government. Socially, Leni Robredo is very involved because she
is quick to act and always ready to help those in need, especially in times of calamities. Her
personality is light because she radiates an aura of comfort, motherhood, and community spirit.

Leni Robredo is one impressive woman who reflected all of her light for the betterment of the
Philippines. During her rallies when she was running for the presidency, her supporters shed
smiles all around because she brought hope, which was sadly not turned into reality as she came
second to BongBong Marcos in the elections. Albeit the result, I still look up to Leni Robredo
because she is still an asset and a big contributor to this country. She is a lawyer and she led a
non-governmental organization called, “Angat Buhay Lahat.” This program intends to unite the
public and private sectors, organizations and people alike, to meet the needs of families in the
nation's most remote and impoverished places.

What could have been the Philippines led by Leni Robredo as the president, will always be one
of my biggest ‘what if's.’ She became an inspiration for many, and for that, I will not forget her
name. ‘Impressed’ is an understatement because I was ‘Inspired’ by Leni Robredo. Inspiration is
important in our life. Without inspiration, there will be no hope. Impression lasts for a little
while, but inspiration lingers for a very long time. Right now, I hope to see more people who will
be just like Leni Robredo, but make a name for themselves. Hope is what we need for betterment
to cascade and for the whole Philippines to feel and see the light we’ve been reaching for for the
longest of times.
