Introduction
A canteen is in a privileged situation to value system students' health and wellness
because it is a component of the school environment. One of the purposes of school
canteens is to offer a selection of affordable, wholesome, and attractively displayed food
and drinks and to supplement classroom instruction. A canteen can become an important
source of nutrition education among students, supplementing what they learn in the
classroom and continuing to support a whole-school approach to healthy eating. However,
there are times when the school canteen fails to give pupils enough nutrition, giving them
only a limited amount of costly canteen treats can choose. The school canteen should be a
reflection of the school's educational objectives and serve to promote and develop student
learning. The food offered by the school canteen, if regularly consumed, may take a third of
a student's total daily intake and have a major impact on their health and nutrition.
Statement of the Problem
This proposal will be conducted to determine the need for a convenient school
canteen for students of Community Colleges of the Philippines. Students from CCP cannot
accommodate due to a lack of vendors and utilities such as chairs, tables, and more. The
school canteen faces different types of problems such as being too crowded and dirt or dust
that we get from an open area. Sometimes the students are still wondering if they going to
take the limited time to wait or just skip the meal. This study seeks to answer the question
of the duration of break time and convenience of the canteen to the number of pupils in
CCP. What do you think are the possible benefits of this study of having a convenient

canteen for students of Community Colleges in the Philippines? Did the students receive
enough service from vendors? Are there any advantages and disadvantages of having a
convenient canteen? Does having complete utilities will help the students to enjoy their
everyday meals?
Value of the Study
A convenient canteen for students of community colleges of the Philippines is an
important matter because if the service in the canteen improved then our time will fit
because as we observe recess time is not enough for us to buy and eat. So if this proposal
approves by our co-students then our canteen will service better plus we can have more
choices about what to eat. Now that the students are experiencing face-to-face classes, they
need the energy to study and they can do it by buying some snacks in the canteen.
However, how can they do that if there is insufficient service in the canteen and doesn’t
have enough place? That’s why this study was conducted on the students of CCP. In
addition to that, If this will approve we can have more places to comfortably eat so we don’t
have to stand, and then we have a place to stay when they have vacant time.
Definition of Variables
What is convenient? According to (Brittanica Dictionary 2022), we will define convenient
as the word that allows you to do something easily or without trouble. In this study, this
study will focus on having a convenient canteen for the students.
A Brief Literature Review
Because of school canteen students prevent to eat unhealthy food instead school canteen
are serving nutritious food in fact, 5-18 years old are improving their nutritional status.

According to eduflow (2013) schools have responsibilities to feed students and staff of
schools, they must ensure the safety of food the hygiene while they are serving. Based on
Exploring yourmind, (2020) having decent canteen help students improve their social skills
because they interact with other students and make friend with them. In addition to that,
they learn the correct use of cutlery and napkins the in the cafeteria.
Research Objectives
The following objectives will serve as a guide for this research paper:
To assess the benefits of having a convenient canteen in the Community Colleges of the
Philippines.
To determine the advantages and possible disadvantages of having a convenient canteen.
To find out the effect of having complete utilities on a canteen.
Research Hypothesis
H01: Student satisfaction at the CCP canteen does significantly correlate with the canteen
service quality categories of Conveniency, assurance, cleanliness, responsiveness, and
safety.
H02: The categories of convenience, assurance, cleanliness, responsiveness, and safety
doesn't significantly correspond with student satisfaction in the CCP canteen.
Research Methodology
This study will be descriptive and investigate into to the standards for having a convenient
canteen as well as its benefits and disadvantages.

Population of Study
This study involve 45 respondents from students of Senior High school of Community
Colleges of the Philippines.
Data Collection
The data collection method will involve the usage of a survey via Google Form. The
questions are open-ended and simple to reply to. The purpose of this study is to identify
the benefits students will experience as well as the disadvantages related to the
Community Colleges of the Philippines' absence of a convenient canteen.
