B. explain the performance practice (setting, composition, role of
composers/performance, audience) of 20th century music.

A. PREPARATION:
a. Daily routine:
1. Greetings!
2. Daily prayer
- A student leads short invocation
3. Checking of attendance
4. Checking of cleanliness
b. Review of the past lesson
c. Motivation
- 4 Pics 1 Word, students will be going to identify the 4 pictures provide
with the scrambled word below. They may raise their hands if they
want to answer the specific question provide.
B. PRESENTATION
a. Did everyone read in advanced the module?
b. I am going to discuss a short introduction about the 20 th century music
c. Before we formally start the class discussion, please answer the Pre-test, and
read the questions carefully and choose the best answer.
d. I am going to discuss the Music of 20th Century
e. Let us talk over about the famous artists/composers in 20 th century
Impressionism and Expressionism (discuss the Distinct Characteristics, and
differences and compared them to each other)
C. APPLICATION
a. Students will be going to answer the Activity 1: First Impression on the
paintings that are given
b. Students will be going to answer the specific questions on the Activity 2:

c. Students will be going to explore and apply what they have learned by giving
the 5 examples of musical works of each artist.
D. EVALUATION
a. Assess what they have learned and ask them to answer the Post-test.
E. ASSIGNMENT

a. Student will be going to listen to the different compositions of one of the


impressionism composers in 20th century (Debussy and Ravel)

b. Choose composition that you like and write a short reaction paper on it.
