GUIDELINES FOR MBA PROJECT WORK

Introduction-The chapter includes the background of the study. Part
A- About Industry

( Brief history, growth and prospects) Part B-

Company Profile

(Inception, Type, Nature, Board of Directors, Organisational Chart, Mission And Vision Statement.
Quality Policy, Product /service profile, market share, competitors, functional chart, future
prospects/growth of the company)
Part C- About Subject

(Definition of the term used, importance and other relevant aspects of the subject)

Copy of questionnaire and all other materials collected from the organisation may be annexed. In case of finance topics
company's balance sheet for 3-5yrs should be provided.
Bibliography
Reference made from text books, journals, newspapers & magazines are to be listed. Name of website and source of
internet can also be mentioned with correct address. The order to be followed for books, journals, newspapers &
magazines is Author's last name, first initials, publication year, book title, location and publisher. Your reference should
appear as follows :

Important instructions to students:
[Link] should submit 3 hard binding copies in colour and one spiral binding.
2. The personal copy must be carried during final submission & viva-voce.
3. Respective guide will provide
the title page, certificates to the students.
4. The font used in the report has to be in Times New Roman (size 12) or Arial
(size 11) and for main heading size to be taken as 16 and sub-heading as 14

5. Student should ensure that the articulation should be in third person


singular
number and use of first person singular number should be avoided.

[Link] sample size should be adequate, representative and reliable to reflect the
attibutes of the universe or population of the study.
[Link] title of the study, objectives, analysis, findings and suggestions should
tally.
[Link] title of the project should be submitted within ten days from the start
date of the project, with the consultation from the organisational guide along
with institutional guide to the Placement Cell.
9. Once the topic gets finalised,students are not allowed to change further.
10. The objectives and questionnaire should be submitted within twenty to twenty five
days from the start date of the project to the Placement Cell.

11. In case, more than one student doing project in the same organisation, they
should ensure that the topic chosen by the student should be different from each
other.
12. The student should ensure that the introduction about the subject of the study
conducted should be written in their own words as well as in terms of their personal
experiences during the course of the study.

13. The student should have a record of the number of hours connected with the
company via email/video-conferencing/call and the information sheet pertaining
to the communication done with the company should be filled and duly signed
by the organisational guide and should be submitted to the Placement Cell once
in a week for maintaining the record.
14. The student should fill the record sheet every time they communicate with the
organizational guide in the format given below.
15. The students should update their respective internal guides about their progress
once a week and in a note book the progress discussed must be noted and
signature must be taken from internal guide .This data must be submitted to Ms.
Jonalee Barman Kakati ma’am every week for record keeping.
16. A student is not allowed to copy the previous year projects; rather they are
allowed to take reference from them and produce work which reflects
originality and contributes to the solution set of a given problem. If the college
finds by any means that the student has copied then the project will be
cancelled.
17. It is expected that the student’s shall carry out their work with full motivation and
dedication without having any kind of latency in their work.
