One Act Play
1. What is one act play
A one-act play is a play with just one act, as opposed to plays with multiple acts.
One or more scenes may be present in one-act plays. An increasingly common
one-act play subgenre is the 20–40 minute piece.
2. What are the characteristics of one act play?
The story must revolve around, or focus on one event.
The action of the play should move fairly quickly.
The conflict should be clear to the audience.
The characters should be limited to two to seven, with one clear main character.
