Our dress code
• The values that strengthen the Optum Global Solutions (OGS) culture are
Integrity, Compassion, Relationships, Innovation and Performance. It is our firm
belief that all employees should strive to live by these values.
• OGS Philippines believes in conveying professionalism and expertise through the
image and work environment we present to our clients and customers.
Wearing appropriate clothing and having proper grooming while
conducting business is an important component when presenting a
professional and competent look.

Purpose
The purpose of this policy is to outline guidelines related to appropriate attires while
conducting business. It seeks to specify what are the acceptable and prohibited
clothing and grooming. This policy seeks to identify the balance in exhibiting
professionalism in the presence of partners/customers and making reasonable
concessions for employee convenience and comfort.
Scope
This policy is applicable to all employees and contractors of Optum Global
Solutions (Philippines), Inc. when conducting company business in or outside our
premises.

What to wear when engaging customers or partners
Business attire should be worn for any meeting, presentation or engagement where
employees will be in close proximity with customers, visitors, partners and suppliers.
This applies to all employees during interactions like closed-door meetings, business
dinners and town halls.

What to wear when engaging customers or partners
• For female employees, business attire includes blazers, skirts, dress, pant suits or
pants, business dress and peep-toe/open-toe or closed high-heeled dress shoes.

• For male employees, business attire includes business suits, dress slacks with
coordinating jacket, collared long sleeved shirt, neck ties, and leather/dress shoes
with dress socks.

Other dress code prohibitions
• Gloves, fancy head coverings and sun glasses are not allowed, except when
medically required or based on religious considerations.
• Appropriate footwear should be worn at all times within office premises.
Walking barefoot or in socks is strictly prohibited.
• If you are uncertain about whether your attire may be distracting to others or
inappropriate for the business environment, you are encouraged to ask your line
manager before wearing it.

Other reminders
OGS Philippines supports a culture of diversity and inclusion.
Employees can cross dress in all sites provided that the clothes
worn adhere to the guidelines of the dress code policy.

Enforcement
Compliance to the dress code is the mutual responsibility of managers and employees.
1. All people managers shall strictly enforce the dress code policy.
2. For extreme cases, employees who are not dressed appropriately may be sent home by their
respective people managers to change and the time away from work will be unpaid.
3. Our security team will monitor the premises to take note of employees who are in violation of the
dress code policy. Appropriate corrective action may be taken against erring employees based on
the matrix of offenses on the company code of conduct.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Q. Is cross-dressing allowed?
A.Employees are allowed to cross dress within reasonable bounds. Employees who wish to cross dress must follow all
the dress code guidelines applicable to their chosen gender at all times. Following the dress code and maintaining
professionalism is of utmost importance at all times. While cross dressing is allowed, employees must use the rest
rooms, locker room and any other gender specific facility only of their birth gender. This guideline must be followed both
while in the office facility and also when on official events and gathering.
Q. What is the sanction for violating the policy?
A. In extreme cases, employees who fail to comply may be sent home to change, and the time away from work will not
be paid. Employees may also be served appropriate penalty (NTE, disciplinary actions, etc.) depending on the gravity
and occurrence of the offense.
Q. Are hats, caps and similar head coverings allowed?
A. Gloves, fancy head coverings and sun glasses are not allowed, except when medically required or based on religious
considerations.
Q. What do we do when we have company activities that require us to dress up?
A. For company activities that require costumes, headdress or accessories, please go to the office following our dress
code policy and just bring the costumes/accessories.
