Other side effects include: low fever with nausea, stomach pain, and loss of appetite; dark urine, claycolored stools; or jaundice Nursing Responsibilities Before -Ask if the patient had liver disease -Do not use this medication to patients allergic to acetaminophen or paracetamol. -In children, dont exceed 5 doses in 24 hours. During -Do not give drugs together any other over-the-counter cough, cold, allergy, or pain medication -Give drug with food if GI upset occurs -Dont administer drug for more than 10 days After -Store paracetamol at room temperature away from heat and moisture.
