Declining HOA Officer Position Letter

Clarissa Reyes Mendiola wrote a letter to the Officer in Charge of the Home Owners Association declining an officer position. She thanked them for the opportunity to serve for the past 4 years but must decline due to needing to focus her attention on her kids who are going through a tough time studying and because she is now single-handedly taking care of them. She wished the HOA well with their incoming officers.

RE: Letter declining Officer position

Dear Respected HOA Officers;

Thank you very much for offering me the position. Please accept this letter as formal
notification of my intention to decline from my position as a HOA Officer.

I would like to thank you for the opportunity to have worked in the position for the past 4
years. I have learned a great deal during my time here and have enjoyed collaborating with
my fellow officers and home owners. While I understand the position and HOA requires a
great deal of attention which I believe that my kids need more closely right now as they are
going through a tough time on studying and to the fact that I single-handedly taking care of
my kids nowadays. Therefore, after giving it much careful thought, I must decline your offer.

Thank you for your time and effort. I wish you and incoming HOA Officers well.

Sincerely,
