producing generalized CNS depression Common side effects CNS: confusion, sedation, dizziness, dysphoria, euphoria

Nalbuphine; buprenorphine; pentazocine Instruct patient on how and when to ask for pain medication. Medication may
cause drowsiness or dizziness. Patient to call for assistance when ambulating.
Patient to avoid alcohol or other CNS depressants.
