1 Scope
In this document shape, colour and graphical symbols of warning signs, to be used on
injection moulding machines are standardized. They shall be used for the information of the
operators and people in the vincinity of injection moulding machines.
2 General
The signs in this document follow the principles of ISO 3864-1.

graphical
symbol in black)
The warning signs shall be used on the machine at positions as given under clause 3. In the
USA by law they need to be combined with an explanatory text.
Where additional warning signs are needed for a special application, where possible, safety
signs already standardized shall be used, e.g. in ISO 7010. Otherwise the principles outlined
above shall be followed. The graphical symbol for the warning sign shall preferably be
selected from the ones already standardized in ISO 7000.
