Justice vs Equality Explained

The document discusses the difference between justice and equality based on an image showing people on boxes trying to see over a fence. Equality is represented by everyone receiving an identical box to stand on, while justice takes into account other factors like height to divide resources in a fair manner so that each person has equal access and opportunities regardless of individual attributes. Justice considers individual circumstances to distribute resources fairly, while equality simply divides things equally without regard for differences.

M5- CHECK-IN ACTIVITY

Based from the photo above, what is the

difference between justice and equality?
Answer in not more than five (5) sentences.

According to the image above, equality is

having resources divided equally. As seen, they
are all given a box to tread on and given
identical resources without taking other
aspects into account. While justice takes into
account a number of factors that signify
fairness. Another factor, such as their height,
should be taken into account when determining
how resources should be divided in order to
provide equal access to opportunities and be
just and fair.
