Program (CIP)Vries
The Career Incentive Program (CIP) is a
scheme to address the government’ call to
strengthen the country’s S&T capability and
to a certain extent avert unemployment of
OST scholar-graduates.
To create a sustainable reservoir af highly
skilled and competent S&T professionals where
DOST agencies/regional offices and private
sector can tap and eventually hire/absorb for
employment the scholar-graduates.
1, Maximize utilization of highly qualified
Sscholar-graduates to undertake research
‘and development by allowing them to work
Under host scientists in any ofthe identified
etwork institutions or DOST research
facilites
2, Provide training opportunities through
factual involvement in R&D and other
technological services, thus, creating a pool
fof trained S&T personnel for the DOST
institutions or research Facilites;
3, Ensure immediate placement of the DOST
scholar-graduates; and
4, Encourage the scholar-graduates to pursue
their S&T careers in the Philippines serving
as_models to the ext generation of
students,

B. Host Institution ~ Any DOST Insiute/Agency/
Unit or Regional Office or identified network
research instution that needs the expertise of
the DOST-SEI scholar-graduate in its research
and. other S&T related program/projecs/
activites,

1. ScholarGraduate who directly apply to SEI
vwthout endorsement from any Hest Insttution
Shall be matched by SEI with an appropriate
insttuio requiring histher expertise
2. Host Instieuton with identified scholar graduate
applicant shall submit the CIP application
together with the other documents required
from the Host Institution, The Host Institution
shall conduct thorough interview,
2, SE shall evaluate the documentary requirements
submited by the Hest rstitusion,
4, SEI shall notify placement of scholar graduate
applicant

A. Wages

“The wages shall be provided by SEI, subject to
the availibity of funds and government
accounting and auditing rules,
B. Incentive
This may be given by the host institution in the
form of additional allowance, honorarium and
other forms.
C. Training
The CIP Graduate Fellow may attend training
for professional growth and development of
soft skils including upliftment of social and
moral values,

1. The CIP Graduate Fellow shall sign a
Contract of Service,
2, The CIP Graduate Fellow may be deployed
to one or more Host Institutions for a
‘maximum periad of three (3) years with the
Contract of Service renewed every year.
3, The CIP Graduate Fellow may be renewed
depending on his/her performance as
reflected in the IPCR duly signed by the Host
Institution, availabilty of funds and/or the
need of his/her further services.
