Present Simple (rules)

He, she, it +verb + s (es)


I, we, they, you + verb
-s or -es?
 Study – he studies
 Play- he plays
 Go – he goes
 Kiss – he kisses, match – matches, push - pushes
Rules:
1. A habitual action (never, hardly ever, sometimes, often/ frequently, always, once a year, every
week)
She hardly ever drinks coffee. She drinks coffee twice a week.
She doesn’t like it.
Do you like coffee? Does he like coffee?
2. Universal truth
Bears hibernate in winter. The Earth goes around the Sun
3. A timetable/schedule
The train arrives at 3 p.m.
