1. Light on requirement of transaction? Explain ACID properties of transaction with


suitable examples for Atomicity, Consistency, Isolation and Durability.
2. Define Conflict Serializability? Consider the following two transactions and schedule
(time goes from top to bottom). Is this schedule conflict-serializable? Explain why or
why not.

3. Define Serializability? And its types with examples.


4. Explain the concept of testing for Serializability with example.
5. Differentiate Conflict and View Serializability with examples.
6. What do you mean by recoverable schedule? How you will decide that a particular
schedule is recoverable or not, justify your answer with suitable example.
