NOTES
1. Rated diameter d is the diameter corresponding to a smooth round test bar which area of section is conventionally considered equal with the rated section area of structural steel with periodical profile.
Actual section area of periodical steel is determined by following equation:
where:
S area of actual section in square centimeters,
Q mass of test piece determined by weighing, in grammas,
L length of test piece, in centimeters,
Area of actual section of the structural steel with periodical profile determinate as is up mentioned, can differ from the rated area of the same profile in addition or in minus with maximum 8% for diameters up to 10 mm
inclusive and with maximum 5% for diameters above 10 mm.
2. Core diameter (d1) and total diameter of core and longitudinal rib are informative.
3. Values for the distance between the head of helical ribs and the head of longitudinal ribs (s) and the radius of notch (r) are constructive for rollers calibration and have an informative character.
4. Structural steel with periodical profile having rated diameter range 6…8 mm can have the helical ribs crossing by the longitudinal ribs.
5. Above 40 mm dimensions of structural steel shall be established by contract stipulation.
6. Mass per unit length is determinate for the rated diameter taking account of steel density of 7.85 kg/dm3.
