Everyone: Hi! We are 3am thoughts and we’re here to motivate you and to talk about your
problems.

Angelo: So basically what we’re going to do here is first we would share our own 3am thoughts
or problems we want to share.

-Btw I’m Tristan (Purisima)

-I’m Jonas(Rodriguez)
-I’m Angelo(Cjigal)
-And this is Zaeer by the way.(Salinas)
-I’m Patrick(Pilapil)
-And I’m Rasing

Velarde: First of all uhm.. Pilapil may you share your 3am thoughts?

Pilapil: What do you think about this like, what if right at this moment comes the end of the
world?

Pilapil: Think of it like this. If today comes the end of the world, who would you want to be with at
that last moment?

Velarde: For me it’s my family. Because of course they’re the only ones that’re always there for
us who value and who we have irreplaceable in our lives.

Velarde: Because they are the ones that we’ll be left with that supports us. The last chance or
moment that you have with them, I believe we should cherish and give all our love for them.

Pilapil: What about the people who have issues with their parents, what do you think about it?

Rodriguez: I think we should accept it that they’re our parents and they were the ones who
raised you so we should respect it and accept them as they are or forgive them.
Purisima: For me I think since it’s the end of the world, maybe it is also the time when you
realize that they are the most important part of your life.

Rasing: Because even if you turn the world upside down or the opposite you want things to be,
it will always be them who you’ll be coming home to.

Purisima: You would realy think that they’re important that you would look for them even at the
last moment.

Rasing: That’s right, they will always be the one who will accept you first.

Velarde: Even if you turn things arround they will always be the one who would love you.
Pilapil: What about you (Salinas), what are your thoughts whenever 3am strikes the clock or
even just late at night.

Velarde: Tristan(Purisima) why don’t you give it a try!

Purisima: What I only think about during 3am at midnight are the memories of me doing
embarrassing things when I was in elementary school.

Purisima: It’s just when I was at that age I really have that extroverted side.

Cajigal: oh it’s like you don’t get too embarrassed about the things you do at that point of your
childhood Haha.

*everyone laughs*

Purisima: So what about you guys, what are the most memorable things you did when you were
at elementary school.

Velarde: I tied my classmate’s bag to the chair Haha!

*everyone laughs*

Velarde: Haha, I really am extroverted too back in the days.

Rodriguez: That’s all? I swear the most embarrassing thing I did was worse.

*everyone laughs after being surprised*

Cajigal: So what did you do anyways?

Rodriguez: I rang my school’s earthquake drill alarm.

*everyone laughs*

Velarde: woah, that really is worse! Haha.

Velarde: oh looks like Pilapil wants to share his thoughts, Haha. What do you want to share?

Pilapil: Oh it’s just that I happen to have opened a fire extinguisher at my school.

*everyone laughs*

Pilapil: Man I still can’t forget how foggy it was in our room, Haha.

Caljigal: I was just curious. What does it feel like, like was it cold?

Pilapil: Actually it feels different than you think it is, I even feel like coughing.

Purisima: And what did you use as an excuse for opening it, too hot inside the
classroom?Haha.(sarcastically speaking)

*everyone laughs*

Velarde: How about you(Caljigal)? What’re your 3am thoughts?

Caljigal: Actually just recently I’ve been thinking of how we would execute this podcast and
that’s what has been bugging me for a while.

:Clajigal: Especially last night, I’ve been thinking on how I would do my role or how I would
deliver it and that's all I’ve had as a 3am thought.

Velarde: I mean you’ll just have to do your best and worry less about the mistakes. Maybe that’d
help.

Velarde: So just don’t forget to support us!(*calling the attention of the audience*)

*everyone laughs*

Rasing: I actually wanna share my most memorable moment in my school if that’s alright with
you guys.

Rasing: And it’s that because with only one word I’ve managed to get everyone or to be specific
my teachers to be mad at me for that only reason.

Rasing: It was our graduation day and the principal himself told us to have our hair trimmed and
so he gave the deadline because it was actually needed for us to receive the “toga” from the
teachers. And so when I was just getting my hair trimmed I just noticed other students I’m with
while in the principal’s office going home with their own togas and even without getting their hair
trimmed and so It felt unfair then after getting my hair trimmed I headed back to the office and
while I was having a formal conversation with the principal he mentioned “have you heard
anything from the teachers?” But I said I haven’t and asked him how did those guys from earlier
get their togas without trimming their hair? And I wasn’t aware that the teachers heard me and I
noticed that they suddenly lost appetite while eating.

Rasing: What I didn’t know was the toga was secretly given to the students by the teachers and
that's why they got mad or atleast felt betrayed.

Velarde: Oh, it seems like it’s really unfair for you.

Rasing: But since I was about to leave the school anyway, I quickly got up from my
embarrassment and moved on, and so that was my most memorable moment in elementary
school.

Velarde: So for the teachers he(Rasing) somehow managed to get upset, please forgive him.
Haha. (calling the attention of the audience)

*everyone laughs*

Rodriguez: For me, my 3am thoughts start with a question. What would you choose? Would you
rather be killed or be betrayed?

Rodriguez: Because for me what’s more frightening is being betrayed by someone you trust.
Because if it’s just being killed, you won’t even have to experience the pain after it and you
wouldn’t expect it to happen.

Velarde: That’s why you just have to do what makes you happy or content because you wouldn’t
know when time calls you.

Velarde: Oh then why don’t we talk about lovelife! Haha.

*everyone laughs*

Rasing: well If we’re just talking about love my opinion is that before you start a romantic
relationship with someone, you have to both share your secrets to each other first because if
you let time pass and hide it then it would hurt more for both of you.

Rasing: That’s why when you say the truth first then It would be much more clear for the person
and accept you.

Purisima: Yeah I think it’s also better for both of them to start a relationship by being open to
each other.
*everyone thinks in silence*

Pilapil: Sometimes It makes me wonder like, what came first? Was it the egg or the chicken?

*everyone laughs*

Pilapil: Because for me I think It is the egg that came first. I mean how would the chicken be
alive without it coming from an egg.

Pilapil: But what if the chicken came first?

Salinas: for me it’s like the chicken came from things changing until it becomes the chicken we
know now.

Purisima: Is what you’re trying to say the word “Evolution”?

Purisima: Well in my opinion it depends on your belief or understanding because when it comes
to religion it says that these things were made, but in evolution it says that-

Pilapil: Then if evolution is true then we can say that we came from monkeys?

*everyone agrees*

Purisima: But of course we cannot be so sure with that because we still don’t know much.

Velarde: But there’s one thing I know, it’s that I came from my dad.

*everyone laughs*

Velarde: So my 3am thought is “what if I can’t take or pass this school year?” I feel like it’s hard
for me.

Purisima: I think you’re just too hung up thinking too much about your future. But for those who
also have the same situation as you, all I can say is to never give up and always try your best.

Pilapil: It is also important to remember that consistency is the key.

*everyone agrees*

Rodriguez: And also remember that hardwork is useless if you don’t trust yourself.

*everyone agrees*
Pilapil: And lastly, Talent Is useless without hardwork.

*everyone agrees*

*inaudible noises*

Caljigal: So also I wanted to share one of my what ifs, And that is what if I tried my best?

Velarde: But it wasn’t enough right?

Velarde: Most of the time that's the case when you give it all the effort you could possibly give
but to them it isn’t enough. But still I Don't know why.
Velarde: I mean they don’t even know what it takes to do the things they thought that aren’t
enough.

Salinas: But I think it is mostly affected by bias or favoritism which differs their expectation to
what is supposed to be expected.

Rasing: Let’s just say for example to our mental health, we have our own capability. Maybe
there are things you can do but others don’t or viseversa.

Purisima: yes because we have our own circumstances.

Rasing: Actually last night while I was having my midnight sack, I just overheard a story that
someone committed suicide because of depression then someone said “I endured my own
problems and depression for 3 years and someone would take their own life for it?”

*everyone disagrees to the person portrayed in the story*

Caljigal: What he said was obviously wrong because we have different experiences from one
another so I think it’s not right to compare it to their own.

Purisima: Or maybe let’s say you have the same experience, But we have different ways to
cope with it or to react to them.

Pilapil: So guys if ever you feel depressed don’t hesitate to share it to the person you trust or
you could ask for help. (calling the attention of the audience)

Velarde: For the next topic, why don’t we talk about our plans after senior highschool .
What do you want or what are you planning after graduating this senior high?

Pilapil: Well after graduating I plan on going to college but what about you guys, Have you
chosen universities you plan on applying to? Because actually I have already chosen one
myself and it’s PUP. Because I really want to pursue the IT career path and after that I want to
create my own business. I’ll invest in crypto, stocks, readings and there are few options Ican
choose from.

Pilapil: What about you(Salinas)

Salinas: Actually I’m struggling to decide whether I'll apply for college or maybe look for a job
already because I want to earn money for the meantime.

Velarde: What about you Tristan(Purisima)?

Purisima: Sometimes we really go through this situation where we struggle to decide, so my

plan After graduating senior high Is during the remaining months of break. I’ll try looking for a
job to gain experience because job experiences are somewhat helpful for college in my opinion.

Rasing: That’s why I’m wondering why they require you to have an experience even though
you’re still looking for a job to gain it, Haha.

*everyone laughs*

Pilapil: So guys while we’re still at this age just keep yourself from doing things that’re
wreckless, I’m just saying that don’t rush things like being a father already, Haha.

*everyone laughs*

Pilapil: But anyways I have a question, do you guys agree or disagree with abortion?

Rasing: I actually dissagree because before doing things they should’ve thought about the
consequences first.

Caljigal: But what if it was an accident or maybe a victim of rape?

Purisima: That is why some people may find it helpful but at the same time others don’t because
in that situation when you’re the victim you have to cope or be relieved from your trauma and so
it’s within them what to decide.

Rasing: so for those who are attempting on having sex even if you have good intention, always
think it through first and know the consequences that you might face.

Velarde: But what are you planning to do after graduating seniorhigh?

Rasing: Well so far I haven’t thought of going to college so I would just focus on finding a job
instead and focus on gaining income even though there’s always someone who would be
responsible for the expenses in college.
Pilapil: although it’s also advantageous to finish college and it’s worth the sacrifice because you
know that nowadays many opportunities open up as long as you get your diploma although
that’s not always the case.

Caljigal: Actually for me what I’m planning is that I would continue studying at the same time
doing a part time job. Because I feel like it’s a burden for my parent’s who pay our expenses to
be responsible also for your needs or wants when it comes to expenses.

Pilapil: But still guys don’t ever feel ashamed to your parents that you need money for college
but you have to know when to stop like when you just want to buy just for your own interest
because it’s not your own hardwork that is wasted but your parent’s.

Pilapil: always remember to put assets first before liabilities.

*everyone agrees*

Purisima: But actually if we ever manage to study in college at the same time foing a part time
job we may encounter problems mostly with our time management because it really is difficult
especially given that it is a challenge itself being a college student.

Pilapil: And please don’t forget not to rush things because at the end It is us who decides who
we want to be.

Purisima: We also are on different paths so we don’t have to feel pressured or rushed because
we have our own pace or ways to reach our goals.

Pilapil: but we still need to know that we can’t always stay in our comfort zone because we also
have to improve through struggle and pressure.

Pilapil: So we have this survey where we asked them their 3am thoughts and we’re also here to
answer them and give some advice.

Caljigal: Btw those people who answered the survey would be anonymous, so you don’t have to
worry.

Velarde: So starting with the first comment, it says that “I’m not enough like they make me feel
like I’m someone I’m not, so it causes me to overthink like in what part have I not given my best
for them just to meke me feel like sh*t. Then you feel like your feelings are invalid because you
overthink it a lot and that causes me anxiety and stress.”

Rasing: No, don’t you base on their opinion about what they think about you because you did
your best.

Velarde: atleast you still know that you did what you could and the effort you gave.
Rasing: I mean it’s not fair that you did your best yet all they did was make you feel less your
worth and deny your effort without reciprocation.

Purisima: But sometimes what you’re doing is not for them but for you to satisfy yourself but if
you manage to do get the results you want to get then cherish it, don’t just satisfy others but
also think of yourself.
Rodriguez: But I think they’ll know your worth once they’ve lost you. Because based on my
experience, at first you give all the effort and you’re the only one who asks for their attention but
after losing you it’s when they realize your worth and regret what they did to you.

*everyone proceeds to the next comment*

Rodriguez: And the next comment is “what if the world ends tomorrow?”

Caljigal: We’re through with that we’ve answered the question earlier, Haha.

Pilapil: But let’s try to change it instead of talking about a person, why don’t we talk about the
things we want to do at the moment the world ends.

Purisima: Like a bucket list?

Pilapil: yeah that’s right.

Rasing: What I think is although it’s disappointing that we’re still too young to experience it and
you still haven’t accomplished your goals we just have to do what we want at the moment.

Pilapil: You sure you wanna die a virgin?

*everyone laughs*

Purisima: Haha, we can be happy in a different way though.

Rodriguez: Nah I’ll just do my hobbies.

Caljigal: But of course we can’t just pass without confessing our feelings right? I think it’s worth it
though.

Rodriguez: I agree because you have to take the risk or lose the chance.

Velarde: I mean just take the opportunity, who knows maybe you both have mutual feelings and
just waiting for each other.

*everyone agrees*
Purisima: And for the next comment, it says “I’m wondering when will I have someone again to
do some sleep calls with”.

Purisima: For me if you’re expecting too much or craving for someone to fullfil that role then I
think you’re not yet ready for a relationship, but it’s your choice at the end of the day looking for
someone to spend time with.
Rodriguez: But what if there really weren't someone that came to your life?

Velarde: Well if you would notice there are actually many people who have that status where
they don’t have partners but sometimes it is actually their choice to begin with.

Rasing: I think we ourselves are also the ones who make our fate whether we want to have a
partner or not.

Velarde: Your turn Zaeer(Salinas), what comment do you want to read?

Salins: the comment says “what if I take the risk, what if I chose to study in Cavite instead?”

Velarde: I think if you would study in Cavite it would be better if you’re comfortable or used to
that place in the first place. Because you’ve got to have your family, friends or someone to
socialize with so that you can get inspiration.

Velarde: And what if your parents didn’t get divorced? Then I think you would be happy but
sometimes it is not the case because there is a reason why the divorce happened in the first
place.

Purisima: Sometimes it actually has a reason for a couple’s divorce because sometimes it’s for
the better and would’ve been worse if they stayed together.

Pilapil: But it really is hard for someone to experience their parents divorcing so I hope the best
for you.

*everyone agrees*

Caljigal:The next comment says “I once had someone who once made every day feel
something, and now I am lost and nothing means anything anymore.”

Caljigal: Actually based on my own experience and it was just recently, but I accepted it already
anyway. So basically what happened is that everyday and every night she’s the one I talk to but
suddenly one day she became cold like she doesn't reply that much anymore but after that she
admitted she did the wrong thing and I forgave her. Then at the same day I noticed that she
already found herself another guy, but then again all I can do is accept it because I feel like I
don’t have the right to stop her feelings.
Rasing: don’t you think that they're doing it for fun?

Caljigal: I'm not really sure but it’s done anyways so..

Rodriguez: But I know not everyone Is as forgiving so if ever you want revenge then the advice
that I can give to you is the best revenge is being successful in silence.
*everyone cheering*

Velarde: The next comment says “why does it take too long?”

Caljigal: What exactly?

Velarde: “points at the audience saying:” Are you kidding us?

*everyone laughing*

Caljigal: Let’s say we’re talking about lovelife.

Velarde: I think you just have to be patient for someone to come into your life because if you
rush then your relationship wouldn’t last very long too.

Pilapil: But for me if ever I get into a relationship one more time then I would really commit this
time and I would prefer getting into a relationship when I’m already mentally and financially
stable. Because you know that it’s her who would be your last.

*everyone agreeing*

Purisima: For me just don’t wait, I mean just focus on yourself first just be the better version of
yourself for yourself.

Caljigal: Alright looks like we’ll now proceed to the next comment and it says “what happens
after death? Is there an afterlife? Are there reincarnation? Or is it just darkness?”

Rodriguez: How would we know? I mean I haven’t really died yet.

*everyone laughing*

Purisima: Haha that makes perfect sense.

Caljigal: Basically it depends because if you’re a catholic then you would believe in the afterlife.

Caljigal; but still like I said it depends on your religion or beliefs.

Rasing: For me I believe in reincarnation it is where after you die you’re reborn again.

*moment of silence*

Pilapil: Actually I’ve been wondering, are we really the only ones who live in this universe. I
mean the universe is too vast to only give one possibility of life. And I’m wondering if there are
actually other universes beyond ours.
*moment of silence*
*proceeds to the next comment*

Everyone: “Fear of disappointing the ones I care about”

Caljiga: For example when you didn’t get the grades your parents were expecting.

*everyone agreeing*

Rasing: Well If i’m in that situation then I would say it from the start to not expect much from me
since I find it difficult.

Velarde: Also given that the subjects we’re taking now are a bit more challenging.

Pilapil: But what I’m gonna tell my parents if I ever got grades that they weren’t expecting is that
grades don't define me, because if you prove to them that even if I have low grades I can be
successful in my own way.

*everyone proceeds and reads the next comment*

Everyone: “ Questioning my worth. What did I do to get torn up in pieces like that. Also the fact
htat i’d ever be the same person I was a month ago. She completely destroyed me and it really
sucks cause I think I’d never get back up on my own again.”

Caljigal: About lovelife again? And it’s too deep too, Haha.

Caljigal: Uhm questioning my worth? Well for me you don’t have to do that because what
they’ve done is surely not your fault if you know you gave your best.

Rodriguez: It's her/his fault If they didn’t see your worth in the first place and they don’t deserve
someone as great as you .

Pilapil: But it also depends because what if the person doesn’t really prove or show his/her
worth.

*everyone agreeing*
Velarde: That's why you’ve got to show it!

Raising: But don’t get too attached to those people who struggle to see your worth in the first
place because proving your worth would be a waste for them.

Purisima: If you think that changed you and if you think that you deserved it, maybe it’s just a
part of your life’s episode to make you be the better version of yourself to build you up.
Rodriguez: yess the character development.

Pilapil: and always remember not to dwell on your past. Let’s learn to move on.

*everyone agreeing*

*outro bg music starts*

Everyone: So that’s it guys, we hope that you enjoyed and hopefully you picked up advices and
lessons throughout our podcast.
